A few of these sprinkled around the users. Bright, clear, and the users have no complaints. Not a fan of the base on this one, but that's personal preference.

Best bang for the buck
The VE248Q is a great high-mid monitor at a budget-friendly price. Of the 4 we've purchased, not so much as a single bad pixel. Our tech team AND our design team are fairly satisfied with the calibration out-of-the-box.
PCs can get away with any of the cables that come with the purchase, and hooking up to a Mac with Retina can be as tidy as picking up a DisplayPort-to-MiniDisplayPort cable.

GREAT Monitors!
These monitors are great! They have a terrific color, built-in decent speakers and come with an DVI -> HDMI cable.
I would highly recommend these to anyone looking for a good monitor.
We are currently using them throughout our company as single and double monitor deployments.

good office monitors
nice design, no gaudy graphics or plastic parts.
no gimmicky mounts or designs
goes together easy
reg power cable...so no special power adapters.
great video
nice bright, n crisp.
have used asus monitors for about 3 yrs now in 200 person office. no fails. 1 with a pixel bad,
monitors speakers not real loud which is great for a office, not so great for AV use (get real speakers)

Easy set-up, great resolution, crisp images, display port simplifies operation
Ordered this for home office - for general use, but specifically for side-by-side review/revision of manuscripts. Twenty-four inch size perfect for this. Very quick set-up with display port cable - essentially plug in and use. Assembly was intuitive, though instructions are minimal.
Image resolution is crisp; colors are accurate and B&W excellent. Quite stable on base mount. Might have benefited from adjustable height, but not a problem for me.
I'm not a "gamer," so unable to assess for that purpose. For general use and editing it is ideal.
I work with a window behind me, so non-reflective matte screen is an important feature for me. Ideal in that respect.
