Rated 5 out of 5 by from great printer GREAT PRINTER, some of the instructions could be clearer. takes a while to go thru the manual on line and luckily there is a pdf of it that can be downloaded. love the double sided printing. I also have the 3210 and this is the big brother of it. suggest that you put extra feet or a board on the bottom as the paper tray could get caught on something beneath if not careful like putting it on a carpet.

The features and functions are easy to use, and the print quality is very good. Also, the price of replacement toner cartridges is very reasonable compared to the competition. The reason for the 4 stars is because I believe the print quality could be better than “very good”. Color printing quality can also be improved, but certainly not bad at all. Another reason for the 4 stars is because Brothwr could have designed this printer to be a little smaller and lighter in weight. I just feel for a portable printer it should be a few pounds lighter and a smaller footprint. All in all though, I still love this printer.

Prints look good for office related printing. (I haven't tried to print an image for fun yet). I like the way it looks even. My Dad was in town and needed to print a bunch of plane tickets and reservation for an extensive trip he's planning. It was just easier for me to help him because he's not big on technology. We printed everything he needed right off his 4 year old phone via wifi and using emails and web pages. I've only had this printer for about 3 months, but, provided it holds up for a while, I can say that I don't see a reason for a normal home office user to buy anything else, especially if they are looking for a laser printer with color.

It jams 9 times out of 10 so I'm really disappointed with that feature. There is also no tray for the manual feeder so your paper just hangs down which could be part of the problem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Basically, a very good printer Basically, the HL-L3270 is an outstanding printer. I have two complaints. First, if one color toner runs out, the printer stops. It won't even print in black and white. That can be a nuisance. Also, I had a 3270 and it stopped working after about a year and a half. I had to replace it. It is a tribute to the printer that I did replace it instead of buying a different printer. However, a printer shouldn't stop working after a year and a half.

No problems with the previous model I had. Conflicting instructions on what works with my iMac. Need a full day off to monkey around with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Effortless setup I got really pleased on how easy was the L3270CDW setup process by just connecting the printer to a wireless router via ethernet cable. My computer (MacBook) found the printer right away. The print quality is very good. Colours are vivid and text is sharp. The only thing I found annoying is having the dual print always on as default. It might be just me, but I think this feature should be turned on only when we need it (hope Brother fix it in a firmware update). Overall very satisfied with this purchase.

Certainly a great printer and customer service through Brother has been OUTSTANDING. Extremely easy setup and wifi connection was a breeze. Rated 5 out of 5 by from I wanted to like this printerI have I have had this printer for about 18 months and printed 3,478 pages (2,284 BW and 1,199 color). I have had to replace all four toners twice now. Which okay.. there are a lot of factors that affect how quickly the toner is used. I do not like how expensive the toner is but I researched the prices before buying the printer. I did not however, research the price of the drum replacements because it is advertised you will get close to 18,000 pages. I am less than 5,000 pages and one of the drums needs to be replaced and it costs roughly 40% of what I paid for the printer. I spent a lot of money (for me) on this printer and now I need to almost pay for a new one in order for it to work again. I am disappointed. I took a chance on Brother because I love my label machine. I do not recommend Brother.

I was hoping I would not fall victim to this issue; however right out of the box USING THE PROVIDED INK INCLUDED FROM BROTHER and I experienced the issue for myself. I can’t recommend this printer, especially since Brother has obviously not addressed the known issue.

I am a bit disappointed in the 2 sided printing does not seem to work when making selections on flipping paper short or on long side. Until this is fixed I can only print on one side to put into a binder for review. Very inconvienient and wasteful.

The ink quality isn’t as good as the other printers that I have had in the past. In addition, when one toner cartridge ran out, I could no longer print. Normally with other laser printers, the print quality would decline due to the missing color, but I was still able to use it. The toner cartridges cost just as much as the printer itself. I wish I had purchased another Xerox printer because they had great customer service, and I could still use the printer when one toner was depleted.

I can only print in color on my desktop. I have wiped everything on my laptop and desktop and reinstalled. I have messed with my settings as well but still I only print in color on desktop and black and white on everything else.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good printer with a few issues This is a good laser printer. Good quality, fast printing. It has 2 issues which i think should be improved upon. Both have to do with the secondary tray which is not a tray it is only a slot. It is a slot that allows the paper to dangle, there is no tray to rest the loaded paper. Also, when you put the single sheet or envelope in the slot, it does not always "catch" and you get a print error. You have to push it in and wait for it to grab the sheet / envelope and take it in. This should really have a fold out tray rather than a simple slot. Second, I sometimes have to print multipage documents on separate colored paper. This does not allow multiple pages in the secondary tray. Only 1 page at a time. So you have to feed individual pages or you must open the drawer and load specialty paper in the main tray. Both of these are a pain. My old HP printer which cost much less did not have these issues.

The only issue I have is with bluetooth printing.. the phone stopped working until i dowoaded the brother app. Once i did that it worked again but i have tonstand at the orinter and put my phone on the top or inget a printer offline message. I bet once i hook it up to my desktop there will be an update but i have to get e printer cable for that.

I have had a mono laser from Brother (2780?) that has worked flawlessly for 4 years. Looks like this will be the same way only with color. So far this printer has handled printing 10 15 duplex page documents many times without issue. Also the Brother toner cartridges are much lower cost for the same capacity as other brands. I bought an ADS 8700 along with this printer so separate my duplex scanning from printing. The 8900 was my initial thought on that in one printer but I think this makes more sense. I am very pleased with thjis printer.

The big issue I have is you can not print in "draft or Eco Mode" from the printer window. The only way you can print is less than full quality (on a Mac is by going to the screen on the printer and changing the quality to "Eco Mode". It also does not keep settings (time out, etc) if the power goes out or if you turn it off.

First and foremost the toner cartridges are way too expensive and I went through the first black toner cartridge with less than 400 pages printed. At the price of a new toner cartridge that makes each printed page quite expensive compared to my two older Dell laser printers. The second negative is that the default settings are to use maximum resolution and heavier toner load, probably the main reason my page count was so load. BUT, I see no avenue to change the default settings to economy or lower resolution; so, each time I print I have to change those settings and I mean that I can't change those setting for each print session, but actually need to change it for each time I send a document to the printer. The build quality of the printer is excellent, the interface could be improved, and certainly, as mentioned, the default settings should be adjustable. Perhaps I'm missing something, but as yet haven't found instructions to do so. Photo quality seems acceptable, but color rendition is more saturated than I like. My older Dell C1660W does a much better job of printing color accurately. Again, it may be just a matter of adjustment.

I immediately had issues with the black toner and on troubleshooting with support, I was told that it must be a problem with the toner and that Brother did not warrant the starter cartridges and wouldn't do anything to fix it. I purchased a new black cartridge and it also smeared black shadows across the page. Brother still has yet to offer any solution or help to the issue.

My main problem with the printer is the beeping it makes when it is active. I have searched all the forums and cannot find out how to turn off the sound. I have it set on "quiet mode," but it continues to beep.

We have had the printer for around 7 month’s and with the winter season being our off season we have a very low page count through the printer. The black toner started leaking and every print was messed up. Luckily after a few customer service calls brother replaced it under warranty. Only issue with the customer service I have is they called the toner replacement a “one time courtesy“! Not sure how it’s a courtesy when its was faulty!

Colors have a striped appearance and random ink blotches places. the paper feed is all of 2 inches and we can only feed one paper at a time?!?! and it still wont line up. Have to use the bottom pull out tray every time. I am so disappointed with this printer for my small business. Going back to HP and will enjoy throwing this front my top story window.

And to clear out a paper jam, you have to remove ink cartridges. Also I haven't been able to figure out how to scan things and need that capability, which is stated that it has. I guess you have to "download" to get that information. I would like to have a printed booklet with the product.

This Brother printer arrived and I installed it once and we use it in the household from our laptops but also our smartphones. It is highly reliable and we recommend it.

Tried the duplex printing (auto two-sided) and it printed 50+ pages without one hitch. Color is great. Their helpdesk guy also helped me solve the deadly two-printers-on-same-USB-port weird HTTP printout problem in one shot (just check your USB ports for more than one printer doubling up on the same one, can happen). Very pleased.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Can't believe such a good color laser so cheap! I couldn't decide whether to go for a color laser, or a better inkjet printer than the one I had. Figured I needed an inkjet for when I needed full page color glossy photos, and a laser for everyday use. I ended up buying both, this color laser (LED, whatever) and another brand of inkjet. Honestly this Brother printer does pretty decent photos too, almost as well as my inkjet. In fact its possible if I work with the density settings a bit more, I might finally discover its possible to get closer to inket to inkjet quality. But either way the Brother's color output is pretty amazing, and the first time I used it for a full page output it was so fast, I was sure I'd get a blank page and an error message. Nope! Having been used to ink jet speed, I was blown away to see output so fast. Still glad I have both printers, but bottom line I'm super impressed with the Brother, and I can't believe its price!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from good with Mac. Not so good with PC. My Brother Printer seemed to go off network often when I had it paired with on my home network with my PC. I had my neck guy from work over a couple of different days to fix it only to have it not work only a couple of days later. I happened to go to a Mac and it seems to be running seamlessly on it. My wife still has problems with her PC networking with the Brother. It is quiet and fast with good quality prints.

The only fault I have is that I cannot get it to correctly print com10 envelopes. The return address is printed close to the center of the envelope. Unable to correct it using custom feature in Word. This printer fit the bill and it was CHEAP! I was prepared to pay upwards of $$$. Setup was easy and I found out I could print without an app on my mobile device. Win! But...the print quality...what?!?! So I troubleshooter. I mean, I have a background in design and print production tech support. This should be a breeze. 8 hours, and 3 chat sessions with Brother support ended up with this poor excuse for a printer going back to Staples. Beware: This printer WILL NOT print crisp PDFs. It WILL NOT print crisp web pages. The only thing it printed well were the test page and a word document. And this issue was confirmed as a design limitationby level 2 tech support..."This isn't a postscript printer, sir." Brother doesn't offer phone support BTW. I'm done with them as a company. This is my 2nd negative experience.

I had the brother black and white laser (2200 I believe) that has worked for me nearly 10 years now. It was simple, quick and reliable. Now that I have kids and do more things from home I wanted color. I researched a long time. Duplex was something I wanted as well as the wireless with iPhone printing. Because of the big demand in home printers and the shortage, I almost didn’t find one in stock but was able to get a refurbished. Very very happy with this purchase. No, the picture quality isn’t super fantastic, but the trade off of toner that doesn’t go bad/dry up and the speed more than makes up for that. This unit is quite a bit bigger than the monochrome but with four toners vs one, that’s expected. I definitely will be a brother customer for life. A+!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wireless LED printer I bought this Brother HL-L3270CDW printer to replace an Okidata 5800 Ldn which had worn out. Okidata no longer sells printers in North and South America. The Brother printer will do most of the things that the Oki would for pages up to 8 1/2 X 14 inches automatically in the main tray. You can hand feed somewhat heavier paper through a slot one-sheet at a time. The Oki had an additional multi-purpose tray which would handle much heavier stock and banner lengths up to about four feet long. I miss the multi-purpose tray option, which I used to print two hard-bound books. The Brother features wireless interface, which the Oki did not have. The wireless interface works most of the time, but sometimes fails on my home network. I can usually get it up and working again, but uit is not always easy. I do find it to do a good job of printing and, because it is an LED printer it is quite fast.

That said, this is a very nice, compact color printer with super features. The duplex printing was a surprise. I had sent a document not even knowing that it would produce 2 sided copy. Now this is toner and has a certain opacity for the color particles, so photos are not quite as nice as the would be with ink jet. But, photos of people look clean and realistic. I have a need to print one-off brochures for clients and this is an outstanding way to get the job done!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from OK Printer with one issue of note Generally seems to work well though I have had issues with paper jamming ... and sometimes its very difficult to clear. I use 24lb paper and it seems that for that weight paper you need to set the internal settings for "thick" paper. But I don't see any documentation that says what is "thick" and what is not. It seems you can still use non-Brother toner which is a very positive thing. Don't think about buying an HP as they may not allow it and you can save a TON of money. Brother is much better in that regard in my experience.

My only problem was trying to print out a few address labels while using a sheet of Avery address sticky labels, that had a few empty spaces where I had previously printed labels (from a previous printer). I found it confusing as to how to load the partially used sheet and after 3 attempts finally had to throw the sheet away, as the addresses were printed all over the sheet but not exactly within the labels. . It seems like the machine prints on the back side of the paper and also prints things out from the bottom to the top, instead of from the top of the document to the bottom. Of all the printers we've had this is the only one that I can't figure out how to print on labels when the sheet is partially used.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Had to return because of poor photo printing My old colour laser needed a new drum, and I needed to print a lot of photos, so the Brother looked promising with such high ratings. The printer was easy to set up, but I was fortunate to have a USB printer cable because the Brother does not come with one (because it's WiFi capable). Printing 4x6 photos was tedious. I had re-specify four or five print options for each copy of each picture. I tried to a custom print profile, but the software didn't give me an option to save it, just obscure error messages. I could not find relevant online help. The photo quality was unacceptable, with over-saturated blues and other colours undersaturated. I did not want the photos it printed. The printer squeaked for 5 seconds before printing and 5 seconds after each print; not loud but annoying, and I wondered if there was a defect that would get worse. At 18.28 kg (40 lbs), it was a bit of a chore to return. Just for the usability problems I experienced, I will not consider purchasing another Brother printer.

Connecting to the wireless network was easy and connecting devices was straightforward. The only problem I have is the automatic shutoff does. not. work. I’ve spoken to their tech support twice and no one seems to understand why it doesn’t turn the printer off. It’ll go to sleep just fine, but I want it off. I’m told they will report it, but who knows? So for now, I have to turn it off manually.

Also only accepts 1 sheet of paper in the front feeder. If you need to print a report with multiple pages on a legal size sheet for example, you need to load it into the main tray and remember to remove it when you are done.

We are constantly having to "check the drums," i.e., slide the green button on each cartridge "seven times" to resume printing. It is a nuisance and is extremely frustrating, because this approach only works on occasion, and we usually have to swap out the cartridge and replace with a new one, which is wasteful, especially considering the fact that replacement cartridges are expensive.

I have made numerous phone calls, only to be kept waiting on hold each time between 30 min. to 1 hour, each time. I then resorted to text-email support. Every response that I received kept ignoring the problem. All that I want is a printer that is functional. The simple issue that I have, is that the unit will not power on. I am not an idiot, YES, it is plugged in!! Here is what I have stated several times, verbally and by email. "I still can not get my printer to turn on. When it powers up, the LED screen lights up, then goes off...lights up, then goes off.....over and over again.....never ending. How do I get it to power on. Very frustrated........ Thru previous tech support, the firmware is up to date. Please help." What else am I supposed to do to get some help.

First called Amazon, they sent me to Brother, Brother emailed me long process to go through. I went through the process, concluded the cartridge was bad which I already knew. The I procrastinated calling them back because I knew it would be another tech support nightmare. And it was. The agent had me go through this long process again including taking out every cartridge and giving them serial numbers. Then she came to the same conclusion that the cartridge was bad but told me it was now past the 90 days so they won't replace it. Seriously. Currently waiting for a supervisor to call me.

I no longer need an expensive printer as I’m retired and sold my business so only needed a home printer and this one seemed the one as I have another brother MFC wifi machine but prints in black and white laser only and it has performed well and toner from brother is less expensive than other manufacturers of their machines and was a definite contender in my decision in my retirement.

Eventually I had to buy a new black toner to replace the new one that came with the printer. Something went wrong with your quality control. After replacing the toner, the printer is working well

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Output is too faint. The printer is reliable and very sturdy, but I can't get printed text to come out clear and dark the way I like it. The settings are too complex and confusing too. Also, setting up the printer to print envelopes (straight through path) is very difficult. You should be able to simply pull down a flap in the back and everything should then be in place. Instead, you have to open the flap, pull down some kind of black feed thing and then pull down two gray levers.

It holds a lot of paper, does not jam and is quiet. BUT. . . . it persists in producing phantom "out of paper" errors, apparently because of an issue with dust getting on the rollers? I have to remotely print and it becomes maddening to have a full-to-capacity printer take itself offline when there is paper in the tray, or to simply not print and give no indication that there is an issue. Good product, good people on the support end, but this crops up every few weeks. There's no way to remotely reset it that works, so you have to physically open and close the tray, completely power down the printer, power back up, and reboot the connected pc in the bargain, to clear the error. . . until it comes back! I was hoping in vain for some firmware update fix.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Workhorse Printer I purchased this printer a month ago to replace another brother laser printer I had for 7 years. This is my 3rd Brother laser and I would highly recommend them. They are totally reliable and great if you are doing mounds of printing. The print is crisp and clear. I especially like the automatic duplexing feature as I print a great deal of reports, etc. for my clients. This printer has an odd squeak when it is printing which is why I couldn't give it a 5 star rating but other than that I'm totally satisfied with this model.

The HL-L3270CDW is a replacement for an older Brother MFC Laser Printer that had many updates over the years but was now "Life Expired" but had given great service and excellent printed output so decided to go with another Brother Laser Printer but didn't need the extra options of Copier/Scanner etc. I was not disappointed with the HL-L327CDW which produces both quick and clear output and is very easy to install on my network so that all of my computers can access it. I used the included CD to install the software on my computers which although was reasonably straight forward it did mean that I had to use a portable DVD/CD player on some of my later (Windows 11) machines as they don't come with DVD Drives these days. Maybe a simpler installer could be used over the internet?

I love being able to leave it on 100% of the time, which I cannot do with Epson SureColor P600. Easy setup, quality and fast prints, and seems like the printer is quality built as well. I didn't want or need a photo printer (see above), or a scanner. So the money spent went 100% to print functions. Very pleased.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy, quiet great copies I bought this particular printer because it didn't deal with ink jet it was strictly toner and I think I'm going to really love it. The copies are coming out great and it's a quiet machine. Although rather large it fits in my closet very well so it's out of the way... The only funny thing was that it defaults to 2 sided printing, So I needed to adjust it for just a single site printing. It seems like a very sturdy machine that's going to last for a long time!! I'm happy!

I’ve cleaned it and reinstalled and still have problems. Can’t use it to print because it looks nasty.

Paying to get laser copies of things done at a print shop was inconvenient and expensive. I tried the Brother HL-L3270CDW and it creates the laser quality prints I need when I need them right at my desk! The color and clarity is fantastic and it is plenty quick at printing them. I would classify this as one of the best purchases I have made for my small business.

After setting up for a manual input, it is not super-easy or clear on how to get back to tray input without setting directly on the printer. Otherwise, I could not be happier. A great purchase at a good price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic color laser, except for software! This color laser printer is fantastic. The cost comparison with other laser printers makes it a solid value purchase. It performs all of the tasks for which it is designed. I don't print often with color, but the color printing does look sharp and clean. The only problem I have had with the printer is with the software updates. The printer software alerts me to the availability of an update, but I can never get the access code to work properly, thus preventing me from obtaining the update. I know this may not be a bad thing, since many times updates mess up what was previously working perfectly. I would not hesitate to purchase this item again.

I believe this is a Business printer not intended for Photo printing, though I do a lot of photo printing and this is going to be a problem for me because the photos are not very sharp. I'm kind of disappointed.

The toner is flakey, the colors are dull no matter how much I play with the settings or paper I use. Apple Mac drivers are pathetic and lacking in features. Very dis-appointed.This printer is the worse laser I have ever used.

I find it very difficult to find any answers and have to spend a great deal of time looking thorough download after download of files. Please print a manual that has an index that doesn't take hour after hour of looking to find answers.

They should be sending me new toner yet want to keep putting me through 20 questions and forcing me to call support so they can tell me to do the same cleaning steps as I already did per their website support section. This is the first time I purchased a Brother and a couple months in, and the printer is already giving me problems already. The first few of pages after the printer has been unused for a while would have roller prints on the side. Since it’s for personal used mostly I don’t bother reprinting those pages but if I had to use it for work, this printer would never do. It’s the worst printer I’ve ever purchased. It’s also very slow to print. Will not purchase a brother again. If someone from brother reads this, please reach out so you can help fix the issue.

Well, lo and behold, about 70 pages in and I started getting dirty pages. First time just cleaned cartridge & drum, 2nd time, ditto... but as I turned unit over, toner fell out. A lot of toner. A defective cartridge? Or does this printer start malfunction when I'm in duplex mode? Regradless, I've run at the max 70 pages through. A new unit should not function like this -- or shall I say -- MALFUNCTION???

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love the duplex but man alive... ok i love how fast this prints in adequate color for a good price... however, to get new toner cartridges costs more than a new printer. so i see a huge pile of new printers without their respective starter toner packs. do i throw out all the printers ? lol u can't use generics at least i find the colors off, they clog the inkjets, not even recognized etc..not even mentioning i believe it voids your warranty. anyhow this is not practical. i dont know yet if the toner cartridges dry up once opened like inkjet inks do tho.

It messed up something with the paper tray saying there was no paper. No one was any help at brother customer service. They finally sent me a replacement printer. Then I kept getting nasty emails about mailing the old one back even though they had already gotten it back. Shipped thru UPS with their label and tracking number.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Full-Featured Color Laser Printer This reasonably priced printer has everything - LED-based laser color printing, duplex capability, USB or Ethernet connectivity, and full wireless printing (including NFC. The quality of its print jobs is excellent for a small office printer. It's built like a tank (heavy) and somewhat bulky for a non-scanning/print-only machine so you should make note of its dimensions to make sure you have a place for it. It was easy to set up both wired and wirelessly so kudos to Brother for making a full-featured machine simple to start using. I would highly recommend it as long as you have space for it.

Text is sharp and clear. Scanned photos may be a hair soft, but that was expected from the professional reviews (inherent in the LED/laser process. They are still quite good. So far, no complaints, only good vibes.

I recently purchased a brother when HP had nothing I could find in stock and Brother did. It is a color Printer! Yes it is sturdy but is also much easier to get a paper jam taken care of and prints Great! I got the Brother-HL-L3270CDW and I love it. Brother has won me over with this great product.

I do wished I had searched for a all-in-one printer, but I got in a hurry and didn't. My wife was quite happy with our older Dell b/w laser printer, but I started having problems after updating to a new laptop. The setup of the Brother HL-L3270CDW went smoothly with no hangups. We are still one the toner that came with the printer!!! Figured it would have ran out by now. Thank you Brother for a fantastic color printer at a affordable price!

To bring it back online, I have to turn it off and then back on again. (This may be user error, LOL. Print quality is great, install was easy, I've had no issues except as noted. Satisfied customer!

I love that each color ink is a separate cartridge so only that one color needs to be replaced. Even if only used intermittently it prints without issue and does not give me the error messages all of the inkjet printers do. I highly recommend this printer to anyone tired of purchasing inkjet ink each time they want to print.

Now that I'm retired I don't print out stuff for work, but do need occasionally print out personal stuff for myself and friends. If inkjet printer stays idle for a period the jets plug up and you replace the cartridge -$$$$. Everytime you start a print job the printer flushes the jets and a 1/3 of your ink is thrown away. A laser printer is just more economical for me to use.

The printer setup was very straightforward and the ability to print from devices via WIFI is really helpful. Automatic double-sided printing works well.

Yellow fading in B&W photo prints, replacing yellow toner, then pink/magenta fading happened. Replaced pink toner, same issue. Cleaning drum fixed. Currently at 10.5k pages printed, around one year old

I had a Dell color laser printer which had bright natural colors, so this printer output is disappointing. Also the prices for the replacement cartridges are outrageous.

The HL-L3270CDW is a good replacement with all the same features as my old one (with some nice added ones). I especially like the "wireless" feature. You don't need a cable between the computer and the printer. The replacement toner cartridges are reasonably priced and last a long time. I made a good choice with this one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Budget Color Laser punches above its price We researched budget priced color laser printers in depth before selecting the HL-L3270CDW. The winning features were relatively low cost-per-page for this class, high quality output, and Brother reliability (our older b/w Brother is 6 years old and going strong. The only limitation we have run into is limited handling for heavier paper weights, you can only go to about 45lb paper (thin cardstock, essentially). Understanding that, we have absolutely no complaints about this affordable workhorse!

Right off the bat it makes noise like squeaky rollers. The pages curl at the corners. I have not used heavier weight paper or labels to see if the curling issue affects only very lightweight pages or all types of paper.

Excellent quality color documents for business applications and prints them fast. Wireless printing works seamlessly with PC, Mac, iPhones and iPads. Only downside is photo printing quality ranges from poor to mediocre at best.

The ink is a little expensive, but lasts very long! And the quality and speed of both are great. This model works great for every day printing. Doesn't have the scanner, but still very pleased with it!

It does not seem to matter how well I clean it, the next print job starts the process of messy pages all over again. Incredibly dissatisfied with this printer.

We both work with laser printers through work and began researching them for home use. Brother has always been a quality name in printing and offered everything we were looking for to meet our home printing needs. It was super easy to setup and get connected to our wifi. I was printing a test document in less than 10 minutes. We have only used it for wifi printing and it makes life so much easier, even from our phones.

My only issue is the bypass tray does not fold out like the 8350 so you have to hold the paper instead of placing it in the bypass tray that's big enough. Took a little bit of time to setup wireless but got it working. I would recommend this printer for general printing needs. If you use the bypass tray a lot, this printer is not for you.

The setup was extremely easy with very little effort and the printer updated itself. My only minor complaint is that when I haven't used it in a while I have to manually wake it up by pushing the power button on it. Minor but it is inconvenient. Overall though I am very happy with my purchase.

I had a Brother Ink Jet and it lasted longer than any other printer in our harsh enviroment but all good things must come to an end and it was time to replace it. Having such good luck with Brother i decided the replacement would also be a Brother product, so when i was shopping at an office supply store it was a little more for Laser Printers and knew the of their speed and quality and went with this HLL3270CDW. I t is a little slower spooling the data than my inkjet but more than makes up for that in print speed. Also to my surprise, I had printed a small booklet and low and behold it automatically double sided printed the work....FAST!!! I love this printer!

While it may not be as fast as my printer in the office it is certainly a good choice for what I need now. He suggested it when we came in for ink that had dried out in our inkjet printer. The printer was set up and running within 10 minutes of being out of the box, and it was super easy to get all my computers connected and printing. The duplexer helps us save paper, and we love how fast it is.

Too late for return I’m stuck but my old MFC still holds strong. This printer in the same price range as the tall model is shorted by not having a fax capability. It’s intuitive easy and great prints. But like computers you’ve misled or the sales rep misled the features of this printer. Again great printer shorted by one feature essential for a home office

It preforms well, I've got pictures on my Instagram @spacemanleather if you're curious. Inexpensive to run easy to use and fully featured. I also enjoy that I am able to automatically print on both sides of the paper at this price point. It was connected to my network and updated itself in about the same amount of time it took to download and setup the app, so that was nice. Not looking forward to the first refill, but I was aware of the costs going in and it is still reasonable for the high yeilds in my opinion. Would buy a second if I have a need to scale operations.

My sons needed a computer for the homework at home and to print assignments. Its wireless and was easy to set up with their google Chromebook, so it was a life saver!

Had a paper jam in it, but kept getting a warning that there was still something stuck inside even though I'd taken the jam out. In any case, phone calls convinced me that the possibility of fixing it were slim to none so I went on the hunt for a new printer. This one is nice. A wee bit larger than the other one, and I was very happy that it does two-sided printing automatically. I did have a bit of trouble hooking it up wirelessly, but finally got that all sorted out. So far, so good. I like the fact that it's pretty quiet, and the little window is nice to have.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fast and accurate The HL-L3270CDW replaced a 1999 HP840C Ink Jet. it would take my old printer probably over a minute to print 1 page, and that would only work this fast if most of the image was black with very little color. The New printer will print out the same page in the amount of time it takes me to get up and walk 2 feet. It's extremely fast. I think the ink cartridges will last several times longer and the color reproduction is accurate.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Color Printer I received this product for free from Brother in exchange for my honest opinion/review of the product. PRINT QUALITY: Print quality so far has been fantastic, colors are vivid and match well the on-screen image, and details are easy to make out on paper. PRINT SPEED: Speed of printing as well is excellent, on average a full color page is completed and ready to be picked up in less than 30 seconds from hitting print. SIZE: While it may say "compact", this machine still is fairly big, and heavy, so I would suggest measuring using the dimensions to make sure you have room for it. It will also require about an extra inch of space in the back for the power cords and Ethernet / USB cords if used. On a smaller desk it may take up a large portion of it, but a medium or larger desk it shouldn`t be too bad. INITIAL SETUP: Each of the 4 toner cartridges has a plastic shield on them that needs removed, along with one large protective shield across the entire toner bank, one shield in the paper tray, and various pieces of blue tape around the machine that require removal. Initial setup only took me a few minutes, and the included instructions are helpful, along with the giant "REMOVE" labels on the bigger pieces to remove. TOUCHSCREEN: I have a small complaint with the touchscreen, in that it`s fairly small and does requires a bit more pressure to respond to each touch than say, a cell phone, but it is still quite usable. The display is nicely bright and colorful, and I was able to easily read the information on it. The ability to angle it is very useful as well, so it can be adjusted to be read if you`re sitting down vs. standing above it.Wi-Fi: Everything with the Wi-Fi worked seamlessly, the touchscreen has a prompt to go directly to WiFi settings, where it was able to detect my network along with several others, along with giving the option to enter an SSID not listed, and I was able to input my network login and connect entirely via the touchscreen. Note: the Wi-Fi only recognized my 2.4ghz network and not my 5ghz. SOFTWARE: The Brother printer suite installed without issue and works well (Using Win 7 SP1, 64-bit. The software update feature seems handy and shows what portions of your software are current or have updates. Side note: the update software also found a firmware update for an older Brother printer on my network and offered to update. The Brother "iPrint & Scan" software I found particularly useful, as it lets you browse your hard drive for picture or document files, and then add as many as you want to a list of things to print. The only knock I would give the software is it didn`t allow for sorting of files by anything other than alphabetical.CLOUD PRINTING: I tried this feature out using my Google Drive, it requires you authorizing your account with Brother to enable access, then gives you an 11-digit code to enter on the printer itself via the touchscreen. The initial setup took a good bit of menu diving, but it was able to access my drive from the printer directly. Unfortunately, many of the files it wasn`t able to recognize to be able to print, but I believe anything that I uploaded as a Word doc, for instance, were the ones it was able to print. This process takes a bit longer than standard printing, ultimately about 2 minutes per print, but it did print the document directly from my Drive. Not the strong point of the printer, but it is functional.OVERALL: Overall, I am very impressed by this printer. It performs its job of printing in color excellently, and it has been a headache free printer.

The printer was so cheaply made that when I went to plug the adapter in it snapped. I returned it and got this. This printer is built like a tank and feels really solid. So far I haven't had any problems.

When I received my Compact Digital Color Printer HL L3270CDW, I was super excited. I have a home based business and this printer would fulfill my printing needs for my business by allowing me to print my presentations, my brochures, my flyers, my applications, etc from home saving me money from having to run to the printing stores to print out my materials from there. It took me a while to actually open the box and set my printer up because I have a fear of technology. I always desire someone else to set it up for me, then to teach me how to use it. I did not want to deal with installing the disk to my computer, or learning how to set up the printer and connect it to my mobile phone. But when I finally did because I knew I needed to and I finally needed to print out some documents, I took out the time and set up my printer. To my surprise it was very simple and easy. My f.e.a.r was just that: false evidence appearing real. I was able to connect it without a problem to my wifi and to my mobile device. I printed out pictures directly from my phone to my printer very quickly. The pictures were in color and were vibrant. The color quality is awesome, but some of the colors were a little off, it is probably off already in my phone, so it printed the same way. My mother`s phone`s pictures are more clear, crisp, and vibrant so I connected her phone to the printer and of course the pictures turned out the same as the pictures on her phone, vibrant, clear, and crisp.I love the fact that it has a touch screen and it is so easy to follow how to set it up properly. I was able to follow the written instruction without having to download a online video. It is a compact high purpose, high quality printer, and it is perfect to use for my home based business. It is perfect to use for a medium size business as well. I think even a large business will find it useful. It would be nice to have a scanning feature, and a copying feature as well, but it does exactly what it is suppose to do, it is a compact digital color printer, and it does its job well. I am pleased and very satisfied.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Learn from my mistake If your a small business that does printing for a living, I would not recommend this for several reasons: 1.) The paper always comes out curved. No matter what I do or what tray I insert it into, my paper comes out with a slight curve. 2.) No borderless printing is allowed. Anyone that needs to have the page printed to the edge - DO NOT BUY! The machine is unable to print borderless, full bleed, or print to the edge of the paper. The machine has an unprintable area of 0.16 inch around all edges of the paper. As a matter of a fact, Brother does not currently manufacture a color laser/LED machine capable of borderless printing, printing full bleed, or printing to the edge of the paper. Very disappointing because I really loved the quality of the speed of the printing, but this was a huge downfall to use for my business. I really wish they would have that specific information on the specifications page. Now I need to return my super-heavy printer when it took my son and I both to carry it into my office in the first place.

The Brother Genuine color printer is extremely easy to set up and does an excellent job printing numerous pages quickly. I really appreciated the wireless feature that allows me to print from my phone or computer. By having the wireless feature, I was able to eliminate unnecessary cords for a cleaner and more organized look.FEATURES- My favorite feature is the ability to print wirelessly. I can print documents from my phone or my computer without affecting the clarity or detail. I did not realize how convenient it would be to be able to print from my phone, but I have used this feature multiple times already. Also, there is a door above the paper holder to allow for double-sided printing!INSTRUCTIONS- The product instructions were very clear, and I was able to have the printer up and running in less than 10 minutes. All I had to do was plug the printer into the wall and insert the CD into my computer. As far as setting up the wireless connection, the CD that came with the printer made this process hassle-free.ASSEMBLY- The printer itself is quite large and bulky. However, the packaging for what to remove was very clear and I did not have to spend time rereading instructions. I liked that everything that needed to be removed had orange stickers that drew my attention to them. I had the printer assembled in less than 5 minutes.COMPARISON- Compared to other printers I have used, Brother is extremely fast, and the quality is fantastic. This printer really thinks fast. I even tried to print multiple pages on command from different places and the printer never slowed down. Additionally, Brother is much quieter than other printers I have used.QUALITY- The quality exceeds my expectations. The clarity and crispness of the documents are very impressive. The color is vibrant and there is absolutely no fading in black and white prints. I am very happy with how well this printer performs.SUGGESTION- The only improvement I could suggest is to add a feature or noise that tells you when the printer is out of paper. The screen will tell you that you need to insert more paper, but I didn`t notice I needed to do so until the printer stopped. The addition of a chime or alert would be niceSUMMARY- Overall, I really enjoy the quality and speed of the printer. The printed pages are very clear and crisp. I also appreciate the quietness while printing. The wireless feature is compatible with my phone is extremely convenient and I have used it more than I thought I would. I also liked that it had the paper inside to protect the imaging unit.I was able to install this myself and only needed help removing the bag wrapped around the printer once removed from styrofoam cutout.Print Quality: The printer had a good print quality and printed pretty quickly form my mobile device through the Brother print & scan application. I had some trouble printing from a Mac OS 10.12.6 unit at first using the built-in AirPrint driver as the picture I printed from the Mac looked blurry and not color correct, but the photos printed from iPhone through brother app looked great.Once I installed the proper driver downloaded from the manufacturer site, the printing looked fine on several pictures I printers using the Preview application on the Mac.PROBLEMS: I would have loved built-in AirPrint capability but my phone would not find the printer although it was hooked up to the same wifi network. A quick search online and I found the brother application, although Native AirPrint capabilities would have been a great added bonus.PRICE: I found it to be fair for the ability to be a color laser with fast printing and all toner cartridges included.

The description says compact, but i think it is rather big for home use. Was disappointed that it did not have an option to copy or fax. I have been using for 10 days, so i am not sure how much is the life of the toners and also how much is the toner. As far as printing, it is fine, prints quick and i like that it is wireless, i can put anywhere that i like, since it is pretty big.

Our previous printer abruptly stopped working one day right in the middle of a job, so it was a quick trip to the store to find a replacement. The Brother HL-L3270CDW was our only choice for a two-sided color laser printer. For the price, we didn't expect this printer to deliver. But we were in a pinch and purchased it anyway thinking we would probably just have to return it the next day. Much to our surprise this printer worked great! We've been using it for a month now and so far it is still providing us high-quality colorful two-sided printing jobs.

I received this product in exchange for my unbiased review. To start with I like the size of the printer, great for smaller offices. It is a little heavy but I don`t find that as a downfall, should mean its built better. I found installation pretty easy, took me about 15 minutes and connected it via WIFI to a Windows computer, but also can be connected to a MAC. You get a startup CD and easy to use paper guide. But you can also connect it also via a Ethernet cable or USB and also touch to connect. I like the size of the LCD screen; it is clear and not too touchy. To get the printer up and running, you have to install the four toner cartridges. My first couples of print jobs were noisy, and a 10 page print caused a paper jam. In order to clear the jam I had to open up the top cover and remove the offending paper. After doing that I applied a bit of pressure to each of the toner cartridge, and found that one of them wasn`t seated properly. Since making that adjustment I have found that the printer operates at a normal noise level, and I have had no more paper jams. Plus I used the quick print speed, which still gave me quality color prints and saves toner and of course increases print speed. You have the ability to manually feed the printer so you can feed it envelopes, card stock and other sizes of paper. You also can print from a cloud apps, using either Google Drive , Dropbox and a few others, I used Dropbox and found this to be a nice feature and worked very well. The paper tray is sturdy and holds up to 250 pages, depending on their thickness. The other feature I like and use quite often is duplex printing. This saves you money on paper and didn`t have any paper jams while using it. All in all this is a well-built printer, it prints quickly, doesn`t take up a lot is space, saves money and prints clearly and quickly. Brother did a good job with this one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quirky setup, otherwise a great printer so far This printer initially did not set up correctly, even with following all of the supplied instructions meticulously. I subsequently discovered several important settings on the machine itself that needed to be changed in order for setup to succeed. You should check the following, at least, Settings> All Settings> Network> Wired LAN > Wired Enable Settings> All Settings> Network> WLAN> WLAN Enable These were both initially off, and needed to changed to Enabled in order for the setup to work. Settings> All Settings> Printer> Color Correction This was initially enabled both in my desktop software and on the printer itself. I set the printer to Auto Correction Off, which improved print speed substantially. Also note that the printer's default setting is to turn itself off (not just sleep unless you change this in Settings> All Settings> Ecology> Auto Power Off Once I changed these settings and redid the initial install, the printer has behaved much better. My only remaining concern is its tendency to jam when feeding cardstock or envelope through the individual sheet feeder.

However, two of those people are on laptops. If they try to print without being plugged into the network, it seems to mess up the settings somehow. I have had to "reinstall" the drivers on at least three of the computers, a couple of times, and/or change the settings in the printer (and I never remember what I did the time before) to get the printer working again. Also, the color is good, but not great. Yet, I LOVE the double-sided printing, the quickness, and how quiet it is.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's great to have a wifi printer! I didn't know what a hassle it had been using a printer hooked up to a PC and accessing it from multiple devices. So this is great. Setup was easy. It's small enough to fit where I needed it to. Virtually no warmup time when printing. Print speed is fine, but the wifi can't receive the jobs as fast as the printer can print. Text seems to be a bit lighter than expected. I may need to adjust some setting I haven't found yet.

Installed easily to my wired network where it services both windows and Mac computers. Can only give 4 stars until a decent management utility for Mac becomes available. There was just a few steps to get the toner`s ready to print and that was fast and easy.Initial Set up: When first opening the box I was a bit intimidated and thought the set up was going to be a tuff mission. How ever the set up was surprisingly easy flowing. I followed the easy set up instructions, step by step and it was a piece of cake. I was very pleased how it connected very easy to my router and wifi system.Functionality: I did an initial print test with some existing photo`s that were on my computer and it worked perfect. The prints come out lightning fast and crisp. I was also able to easily get pics from my phone to print straight to the printer. I love the touch screen display as well.Only issue: when trying to connect to the Brother web connect, I could not find this particular model in the choices. It`s a bit heavy.Overall: I think this is a FANTASTIC product and I would recommend it to any business professionals or even for home use.

The color is okay, but not very vivid for photos. My favorite feature was the wifi setting. All I had to do, was press the button and it found it right away. No entering password, this was a plus. The touch screen was a eye catching. Very easy to read and understand. I was very impressed with this product for my printing needs.

I haven't actually been able to use this printer yet, as it won't connect wirelessly to my network despite the box and website advertising the ability to do so. My computer and network are configured correctly, and I know I could connect with an ethernet cord, but that's not why I bought a WLAN printer. I'm sure it prints great when you can get it to work.

After much research and pricing I decided on a Brother and this model for the price VS features. My previous in jet was an all in one so will miss the scanner but in all honesty the scanner did not get used very much. So far the Brother printer has worked just fine. I printed up a dozen fliers for the club I belong to and all came out looking great. There were several photos on the flyer and while they are not "photo quality" they are perfectly acceptable for this application. I also have printed a few labels and while feeding one sheet at a time is a bit of a bother, how often do I do this? NOT very often so it's not a big deal. I have not used the wireless feature yet so cannot comment on how that works. The foot print is slightly larger than I would like but I knew going in it would be larger than my old printer. So far I am happy with the printer. I've only had it about a month so time will tell how it holds up.

I received this product in exchange for my unbiased opinion. FIRST IMPRESSIONS: While heavy, this printer is relatively compact for a laser printer. It fits easily on the corner of my desk and its square design is nice and simple without any parts awkwardly sticking out. It`s a sturdy, quality, durable piece of equipment. ASSEMBLY: Relatively easy to assemble though it took a little bit longer than I anticipated. The manual did not explain how to hook up the Wi-Fi network correctly but I was able to look online and figure it out. FEATURES: This printer is a breeze to use! I can easily print from my smartphone with just one click. It`s also incredibly quiet compared to other laser printers I`ve used - just a quiet whirring sound you barely notice - like a white noise. It`s extremely fast - it takes just a few seconds for my PC or smartphone to communicate to the printer, and a few seconds longer to have my pages printed. Easy to adjust the feeder to accommodate any size paper or photo. When out of paper, the printer automatically detects that you`ve added more and finishes the job. Also nice that it goes into Sleep mode when not using to conserve energy.OUTPUT QUALITY: The quality of printing is not sacrificed for the quickness. I am impressed at the quality output of documents and photos. Crisp, vibrant colors - and even the photos print very quickly. My photos look professionally printed which will save me from a trip to the store to have them printed. BOTTOM LINE: This printer is efficient, reliable and high-quality. It saves me time and money. Only thing I would like it to have is a scanner... but with all the scanner apps out there, it`s not a deal-breaker.

Very quiet operations, and a bright clear touch screen However the yield on the toner cartridges are not true to their estimate, and they print less pages then estimated. We had a larger Brother Laser and the estimated yield was fairly accurate. Unfortunately after five years of printing catalog, flyers, and brochures it needed to be replace.

The Brother Compact Digital Color Printer HL-L3270CDW was very easy to assemble and set up. Linking the printer to my smartphone and computer took very little effort, though an app (free was required on my phone. I tested the printing with various documents, including screenshots from my phone, pictures from my phone, pictures from my computer, black and white documents from the computer, and colored documents from the computer. I would say the print quality was not as sharp as I had hoped--it almost seemed like the ink itself was not as vibrant as it could be. With that said, the quality was still satisfactory and did not falter even from a phone screenshot. Black and white documents looked great.The convenience of printing from my phone was a major plus. When printing, despite having to download an app, there was no extra step beyond clicking print. This convenience is hard to beat especially in a day when so much work is done on a smartphone.The printing speed was satisfactory; The amount of time from clicking print, to bringing the printer out of "sleep" mode, to the printing being complete was surprisingly quick. The printer is very quiet though a little heavy.I wish the paper dock was a bit larger, allowing it to hold more sheets at a time. With the paper I use, the dock does not hold a full pack, which forces me to have to store a handful of sheets until they fit. A minor inconvenience, of course.Overall, I am very pleased with this compact printer. I believe it would be a perfect size and speed for a small business or at-home office use. The printer was fast, quiet, and printed adequately.

We had to replace our Brother HL-3170 CDW with this supposedly "newer and better model" because the store we purchased it from said they had our old model when in fact they didn't. Unfortunately they take different toners and we now have toners we cannot use. The HL-L3270CDW toner is QUITE a bit more expensive too. The starter toner the machine comes with says it will print approximately 1000 pages. Not even close. We got 407 prints when the magenta ran out then 2 prints later the yellow ran out. On the old HL-3170CDW you were able to manually reset the toner so you could use up the remainder of the toner that was still in the cartridge. This is a NO GO on the new HL-L3270CDW. We're hopeful Brother will include this kind of feature in an up coming update so we can at least save a couple of dollars and use up what we paid for to begin with. So far this machine has had more JAMS in it during the short time we have had it than our old one did the entire time we owned it. The start up printing takes about 3-4 times longer than our old brother printer. This machine stops quite a bit for cool down too. Once again our old Brother rarely did this. Setup was a breeze. The new touch screen is a nice feature. Print quality so far is very crisp, has bright colors and even tones throughout the print. Our old Brother started out this way but eventually we were getting light and dark patches throughout the print. Hence the replacement. Yes we were/are using genuine Brother toner. The software user interface is almost identical to the old HL-3170 CDW which is nice. Not too much of a learning curve there. It also has lots of wireless connection types which is a nice feature if you need it. We are going to give it the good old college try and continue to try various settings and adjustments. Not too much longer though because we can't keep paying for supplies trying to figure out the sweet spot settings for this printer. Don't get us wrong. It prints nice.. when it comes out.

Initial Setup/Assembly:-Setup was fairly easy with the included instructions in the box. It could have maybe had more words describing what to do (since the setup guide was very visual), since at onepoint as a new user of laser printers it wasn`t clear to me. However, I was able to get it setup in the end. -Getting onto the network was amazing. I didn`t need to put in the CD. The printer, once connected to the Wi-Fi network, was added automatically and available to all the computers on the network (Windows 10). Device Firmware/LCD Screen:-The printer was updated to the latest firmware. One improvement I was hoping for while navigating the various settings and menus were descriptions explaining each feature or setting.-For example, there`s a quiet mode setting and a ecotoner setting. Of course, going online, I was able to locate information about what these settings do. However,to best utilize the screen real estate, I believe if you can do most activities directly on the printer that provides the best convenience. If there was a (?) icon or a info/help icon, it`d be great so you can decide while in settings what options you`d like to turn on, what each mode or setting will actually do, all without leaving the printer`sscreen.-It`d be great to see additional types of easy-to-print document shortcuts on screen.-I love having a touchscreen on a printer so tasks can be performed directly and you can visually check things such as toner levels. I think it`s great to have this featureon a laser printer such as this. Mobile Printing: - I downloaded the Brother iPrint&Scan app to try out the mobile printing functionality. I use my phone often, so the ability to use my phone to print out things will really come in handy. The setup was a snap. I downloaded the app and then selected my printer -- it quickly located and detected it on my network. Then it gave meaccess to send print jobs or even get information on the machine`s status (e.g, toner ink levels). There is also a Print Service Plugin available to allow supportwhen printing in other apps and places on your phone. Stability:- During the few weeks so far I have had it I have not experienced a single issue with the printer. No paper jams, no error messages, no print quality issues, etc. I have only had a smooth reliable experience. Every time, what I asked it to print it printed. Toner:- This printer takes 4 different toners: 1 black, and 3 color (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow). Toner is awesome in it`s ability to last longer and save you money overthe long term per page printing costs. The printer comes with toner included, and to get more does require additional investment, but remember that they give you higherpage yields than your inkjet would. Size/Weight:-Laser printers are known to be big and heavy due to the requirements of both durability and the laser printing process. This is fairly compact as far as laser printersgo, but for someone used to inkjet printers it will seem bigger and significantly heavier by comparison. However, it looks to be sturdy and well-built and time will tell!Overall Printing: - The 2-sided printing is awesome. It`s perfect for saving paper. However, it`s not like you`ll be refilling the paper tray frequently either because this laser printer can hold250 sheets at a time. You also have the long-lasting high capacity toner which adds to the low-maintenance of this printer and the capability of handling higher volume printsfor a home or small office. - With out of the box settings, documents are quickly printed. The printer says up to 25/ppm. Text comes out clear and there is the added benefit that this laser printercan handle color documents (which not all laser printers can do). Color images (at least with default print settings, haven`t tried others yet) are definitely not as vivid asinkjet prints. - Overall I find this printer to be really nice to have in the house and gets things done nicely.

Could not resolve the trouble so retired it & would only buy another Brother printer. Very satisfied with my new printer.

The only issue I’ve had is getting the printer to print in the proper page orientation when printing duplex. I’d buy the printer again.

The only issue is the serial number is almost impossible to read. You need this to control the printer in terms of updates, etc. I could not, for the life of me, figure out the serial. Print it larger, please.

It rotates the image so that the top right of your document prints on the bottom left of the sheet. If you're using forms leaders for smaller checks or smaller documents, this is a deal breaker. I found out too late!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super quiet and vibrant colors I bought this machine as a replacement/upgrade for an older model Brother monochrome laser printer (the old one still works—just wanted to go color!, and I am amazed at how brilliant and vibrant the color is in all the documents I’ve printed. Excellent quality for the price point. I have it setup in my home office, where I have daily virtual meetings for work, so noise level is a consideration for me. This machine is super quiet! In one meeting, I had forgotten to print a 6-page document ahead of time and decided to go ahead and print it mid-meeting, realizing half way thru printing that I’d also forgotten to mute myself. Even with the printer literally right next to the computer, nobody in the meeting heard it! It’s *that* quiet.

The only issue I have with this printer and I haven't been able to resolve it yet is that whenever it goes to sleep, it looses WIFI connection. To connect again, I need to turn the printer off and on again.

I love all of the capabilities, especially printing from my smart phone. I love the duplex printing, but now I have to remember to turn it on or off based on the paper type or substrate I'm using, for example printing shipping labels requires me to remember to turn it off. The color is good. I ran some color tests against some photo benchmarks and found that the printer is great for everything except shading in the human face (Caucasian) tonal regions. All of the line tests, dot tests, color gamuts, and just plain pleasing to the eye tests were all great. It's a color laser printer, not a giclee printer.

It’s super heavy but I can’t complain with it being so receptive to printing and the color quality is top notch. No regrets.

I ordered online what I thought was a printer copier to replace my old Wireless Brother printer copier however what I have it just a printer which explains why it is more compact than my previous machine. But in all fairness the new printer is much faster and I am pleased with it. It remains that I will still have to get a copier.

The printer is fast at booting and quick to print the first page. Standard print quality is sharp, with moderate contrast, and ok color accuracy. Color printing is ok for everyday documents, but nowhere near brochure and photo quality. Overall a great value with genuine replacement cartridges costing half that of the competition. One star off for color issues.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from DON’T BUY! A Paper Jam Will End This Printer! This printer had 1 paper jam, now the printer has stopped working even after clearing & cleaning. After clearing the 1st jam as instructed, the paper jam error will still remain to prevent you from printing, and it will take 5-10 more attempts of pulling out all the cartridges before the printer will allow you to continue to attempt to print, then the print will make it 3/4 of the way before claiming there is another jam, even though the paper is sitting just fine...paper is not crumpled up or anything. I called Brother tech support, and after doing as they instructed (same instructions that show on the printer), tech support’s conclusion is that I needed to use different weight of paper (never mind that I have been using this paper for a year). Recommended paper is used and same result. I bought this printer because it was less expensive than others since it was for home use, and it barely made it over a year…just outside of warranty, so Brother tech support wouldn’t replace it either. I have found other reviewers with this same paper jam issue. I will never buy a Brother printer again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great color, speed and duplexing at a great price I found myself in need of a printer that would duplex and print in color. Often I print financial papers that are lengthy and color makes the important things stand out. I also have grand children for whom I print craft pages and activities. As a LEGO fanatic I sometimes print LEGO parts list and color is critical. The Brother HL-L3270CDW does all of these things very reliably. Setup was reasonably easy and the software found my home network easily. From out of the box to actual printing was less than 15 minutes at a careful pace. Handling both letter and legal paper sizes and printing effortlessly from my iPhone are also great features. I am also able to print on heavier paper stock with no jams. And it looks good too!
