Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great printer with a not-so-great company behind it First, the TA-20 is a great piece of engineering. The end product (the printed work is as advertised; clean lines, great paper flow, decently fast, easy to operate. Canon themselves is less than impressive however. My experience with pre-sales chat with not only uninformative, but frankly rude. While the company offers a good size collection of large format printers, pointing out the differences should not be that difficult. While it does not explicitly say so, the TA-20 and and TA-30 printers for NOT print on 3" core media out-of-the-box. There are simple blue adapters that fit on the metal roll holder that are needed to hold the 3" core rolls (they normally fit 2" core rolls). However, they also don't just sell those little blue adapters. They sell an entire metal roll assembly that INCLUDE those adapters for $140. But again, you wouldn't really know that from trying to talk with anyone at Canon. So, my advice would be to probably buy the printer from a company that can be the intermediary and just deal with them, as apposed to Canon. They can give you advice on the accessories and deal with the nightmare of Canon for you. It's too bad the Canon sales and marketing team isn't as good as the Canon engineering team.
