Lightweight and responsive.
Very nice pen. Reasonably priced. Wish it was magnetic so it would clip to my Yoga computer. And it uses a battery rather than recharging. But good weight and very responsive. I'm very happy with this add-on.

Good pen for using but very fragile and can break
First pen broke when my daughter dropped it on the floor. This does not qualify as sturdy and tough to me. Ended up having to buy a brand new one ....

Great for Photographers!
I have been stuck in the Dark Ages, still using my mouse with my photo editing software. The upside to a pandemic is being in the home so many hours with no outside excuse to procrastinate on editing the photo backlog. This pen (stylus) came as a Christmas gift, along with a touch screen computer, and has become a game changer in the sophistication of my edited images. I can get in so close to edges with greater hand control. And learning to use it was immediate…just drop the (included) battery into the pen and go! No need to download software to use it. There are two bottoms on the pen towards the point — I have yet to figure out their purpose.

Good quality stylus pen
The pen does what it is supposed to do. The writing and drawing quality is great. It is responsive with no lag time. The visual quality of the hand-written notes is great. Feels good in the hand. My only complaint is that there is no way to attach the pen to my Yoga laptop. It would be great if it could be magnetically attached to the laptop. Otherwise, I'm afraid I'll eventually lose the pen.

Lenovo Digital Pen—Useful!
I like the easy to grip pen! The buttons (left & right mouse click are so unobtrusive I forgot they were there until I needed to click. There is an onscreen indicator that shows where you are about to touch/click. Good handwriting interpretation makes this a useful substitute for the pop up keyboard in tablet mode. Wish there was better information about customizing the barrel button actions.

Ups and downs. Good pen overall.
I enjoy the responsiveness of this product and the sensitivity. I also appreciate that it works very smoothly with the Lenovo yoga and starts up immediately. As for things to know:
1 the barrel is quite thin like that of an Apple Pencil so if you intend to hold it often or for long periods of time I’d recommend purchasing a grip so you don’t strain your hand.
2) there are no set up instructions and it’s quite difficult to find info online for this exact pen. So if anything is not right, it’s difficult to fix.
3) the nib is hard plastic so be aware of that so you don’t scratch your screen.
4) it runs on AAAA batteries. One is included with the pen for immediate use.

It works well for what I have used it for, although I can't seem to figure out how to get laptop to identify that I am using the pen to draw and not my hand. So, I essentially have to hover my hand over the screen as I'm drawing because other wise it picks up the side of my hand instead of the pen. Very frustrating. I may just need to look into some tutorial videos to figure it out because for all I know it's somewhere in the settings on the computer that I must've missed. I gave 4 stars because I wish there was some sort of instructions or even a link for instructions provided when you receive the pen to set it up.

My first pen
I recommend buying the pen for your laptop. You can utilize this pen on Microsoft's free app "Whiteboard". The app has the functionality of a whiteboard and works really well with the pen. The pen has two buttons that when pressed on work as an eraser and a select tool in the app.
The only other programs I've utilized the pen for have been some drawing programs. I've used this pen on "Fire Alpaca" (Free drawing programs) and "My Paint"(also a free drawing program). The pen works well and has good stability in these programs
Also incase if you're worried, no the pen won't scratch up your screen

Poor design with no user manual.
Difficult to grip. Very thin and smoother without any sort of contour or texture variation so you can hold onto it for writing. The tip is very vulnerable to damage as there is no cap, no case for the pen, and the tip is not retractable. There is no way to attach it to the computer. How are you supposed to transport it without damaging it? Also there are is no user manual or other written material that come with the pen. There are two buttons on the pen and I cannot figure out what they are for. The pen works whether the buttons are pushed or not.

Pen link to computer without any setting thing that could be difficult. I literally just touch the screen with the tip of the pen and the computer automatically recognized it. The pen has a soft texture. Pen uses batteries which is a con, in my opinion, I hoped the pen was rechargeable with a cable. The pen feels a little heavy due to the batteries. Overall, I think it unless you have a real purpose to it not just because you want a have it, it is worthy. I think pens still have a lot to develop.

This writes a lot smoother on my ideapad Flex 5 than older styluses did on my older Yoga. However, often...even in the middle of use...it doesn't work. This is frustrating when trying to teach!

I loce that i got a discount on this pen for buying the new computer. My old one was a bit dated as it was for my old 2-in-1. I use it constantly to write out notes for work and such. Great feel to the pen when holding it.

Has great sensitivity. It is a good thickness and works really well. Its radial menu capabilities also present great potential. My only gripes are that it sometimes doesn't respond in super intuitive ways to my laptop screen, and the buttons are placed a bit far down on the pen for my taste. But really, a nice digital pen to be sure.

Great pen, high accuracy
One of the requirements that I had for a new laptop was a good high quality stylus that I could use to draw and make notes. This stylus is excellent, holds charge, is precise and accurate, super easy to use. It totally met my expectations. I would highly recommend.

It is very convenient and makes everything easier to manage on the computer when you travel and want to work during travel time. It is a great alternative to the touchpad or a mouse. Also great when you need to take quick notes: The hand writing to print letter transformation is perfect. The only disappointment was the battery charge I did not recognize when I purchased. But this is easy fix with a rechargeable battery.

Bought an Lenovo Digital Pen did not work right out of the box. Happy with Idea Flex 5 PC but disappointed that the pen did not work. Trying to get ahold of Lenovo is tough for returns.

Works just like a Wacom pen
I bought this pen to use with my IdeaPad Flex5 to make digital art. I like the weight of the pen and the fact that it magnets to the laptop so I'm less likely to lose it. It is very similar to the Wacom brand tablet pens I've used in the past, save for the fact that this pen does not have the "eraser" end. I wish it did, and that is my only real complaint about the Lenovo pen.

Highly recommend the Lenovo pen enabled devices for online teaching. I am using this pen with an IdeaPad Flex full fledge laptop. So I have computing power for my research needs and teaching tools into one.

The day I received it, I fell in love with it. Its been a month since I purchased it and till date, I haven't faced any issues.
Pros :
- Delivery was prompt
- I use draw-board app on my laptop for taking notes and it works flawlessly.
Con :
- Lenovo should provide a box or a pen cap to keep it safe in bag.

Nice Pen, but no instructions
So far its a nice pen, it didn't come with any instructions so it took me awhile to figure out how to get it set up and working. I still cannot get it to stop hovering even though I have clicked the preference to not hover multiple times. It would have been nice to have instructions on how to set up and work the pen.

Works great for what I use it for.
I’m in nursing school and use it for taking notes and writing in notes on powerpoints. The only thing I don’t like is the buttons because it rotates while I write and I always accidentally click them and delete stuff so I have to be careful not to do that. Other than that, it’s wonderful.

It does its job
It is one of the only digital pens that work with my new computer. It is a bit different since it doesn't connect using Bluetooth, which makes it seem like there are not as many controls.

I thought that since this was a Lenovo compatible pen, it would automatically come in as a digitized stylus. It is not. So as useful as any normal stylus with a better interactive point, but you still can't use this to draw well.

A versatile and extremely useful active pen!
Works flawlessly and is the perfect weight. Doesn't feel cheap like the older Surface pens and isn't too heavy to be unwieldy. Customizable barrel buttons are extremely useful.
Overall this is a great companion to my newly received Yoga 6 13".
Highly recommend.

Setup and use is easy. Last week I accidentally drop the pen on the floor and the tip broke ! It has no response to write anymore . I tried to contact service assistance but no answer.

Lenovo Sylus
It’s a pretty good stylus pen. You can adjust the sensitivity with the app, which makes it very nice. I wish there was some sort of grip on it because it’s so smooth and that makes it a bit slippery and causes you to hit the buttons on it at times. Otherwise, it’s a great little pen.

Good overall but not perfect
Doesn't seem to be picked up by the computer at times, almost as if it turns off and on and i have to mess around with pressing the button in order to write anything. Apart from that everything else is smooth.

The pen is really nice, has some weight which is good, a soft feel on the screen and works as advertised. Two shortcomings are a It takes some research into what driver brings full functionality, not a plug and play device. b)A "AAAA" battery isn't the most practical power source due to availability, rechargeable or regular "AAA" would have been much better.

Works great with the Yoga 6 laptop computer, but it was kind of difficult to set up. I still don't know what the buttons do, but I'll figure it out as I go. No instructions given with the pen.

Chromebook Users Beware
I purchased the digital pen because the Lenovo catalog indicated it is compatible with Lenovo IdeaPad C340. However, upon calling Technical Support they indicate that there no digital pen device compatible with my device because it is a chromebook.

Couldn't use it.
Not compatible with my IdeaPad 5 15ITL05 Intel 15" laptop. It would not work, no matter what I tried. It appears that no Lenovo Digital Pen will work with this laptop. I had to return it. It would have been very helpful if Lenovo would have just pointed this out in the product listing and description. It would have saved me a lot of trouble.

It stopped working
it worked perfectly for like a month after I got it. but then it started working on and off, I would try to draw a line but it would keep connecting and disconnecting leaving a dashed line. I thought it was a battery problem so I changed the battery but it stopped working completely. I don't recommend this pen.

My complaint is not so much to do with Lenovo Pen its more with Windows 11 a lot of the of the tablet features don't work on Windows 11 so let me save you all a lot grief of rolling back to Windows 10 don't upgrade till Windows 11 is finished

It’s okay.
Uses quadruple A batteries. Makes it difficult to replace. Wish it would just charge on the device like the Apple Pencil. Tip is fine tip and buttons near fingers which I don’t even know what the buttons do except one. No my fave purchase but it was needed for the Lenovo yoga. Definitely feel that it should resemble more of an Apple Pencil feel and functionality.

Good for everything but drawing. The sensor is too inaccurate to draw with. Calibration is a nightmare as well due to the calibration points being too close to the edge of the screen to be clicked by an uncalibrated pen.

Nice feel and weight to the stylus. It is pressure sensitive while you write. Would be nice to have magnet so you can put the stylus on the side of the laptop when you aren't writing.

Good entry level pen
This is a good entry level pen. It works most of the time with few exceptions. I do like the fill of the pen It seems like the right weight and it's easy to use. I have it programmed the two buttons but I read that some people dedicated one to be the eraser which I think I will probably do when I get around to it.

I love this pen. It makes my laptop into a fully functional notebook where I can directly take notes. The buttons help me change modes to an eraser, which saves a click and is a huge win. No instructions were included, so I haven't been able to pair it with my Lenovo Yoga C740 15". Before I ordered this pen, I checked to make sure it was compatible with my new computer. When I went to the Lenovo website to register my product (multiple times) I was unable to register it. Multiple times I was told the S/N number didn't exist, yet when looking in the product (like shopping) the same number worked. I will eventually figure out how to fully use all the benefits of this, but I am very frustrated that I can't find instructions from Lenovo!

The pen works really well. Simple (normal battery replacement. I'm glad it isn't one of those small, flat round batteries but a normal one. Would definitely recommend but be warned. I've had someone walk up and steal my normal writing pen thinking I already have one which was aggravating but I still recommend because it isn't like I would want a bulky or extreme color pen.

I got this pen bundled with my laptop purchase for $25. And that's all it's worth. It's not a great pen, but I have enjoyed using one when I pull it out. There's much more precision then with just your finger. I'd point you into another direction unless you have a similar bundle, other options would be better.

Pen arrived quickly and synced automatically with my yoga 7i laptop without any additional installs needed. The writing and tracking is very smooth. Perfect for taking school notes, which is what I primary bought it for. The only issue is the pen won't register if the laptop is awakened from sleep mode. I have the pen buttons set to functions such as "erase" but the buttons only seem to work when the laptop is booted from start up. If the laptop is started up from hibernation, the pen still works but only as a stylus. Lenovo's pen setting doesn't recognize it for some reason but it's minor hassle. The pen might benefit from having the option to manually sync somehow rather than just automatic detection. Other than that, the pen has a nice weight and feel to it and does what I need.

Pen Glitches
I have a Lenovo idea pad flex 14 and I bough this pen because it was cheap but when I use it to write notes the pen glitches and doesn’t work or sometimes it glitches and the pen stroke sacks out scribbling on my page. I have no idea if it’s the pen or my app but it also doesn’t work for digital art. The lines are not smooth at all and very pixelated. I tried everything including fixing the art programs stabilizer but it didn’t do anything. All in all it’s good but it creates problems here and there that get annoying at times.

The pen is very comfortable to hold and writes nicely on the screen. I wouldn’t expect a long pen, it is pretty small but it fit perfectly for me. The only issue I had was that I wasn’t sure how to turn the pen on and off. Other than that it is very nice!

The pen itself feel pretty good but pressing the buttons a lot hurts my fingers. Also the integration could use some improvements, when I try to select text or drawings using one of the buttons, the second I let go of the button, it starts drawing and cancels the selection even if my selection circle was complete. Lastly, the pen does not come with a carrier or something to connect it to your laptop like some of your other pens do. This pen is small enough that it could easily get lost without one.

This Pen is very efficient and smooth. Ideal for working on my Lenovo Laptop. Works flawlessly and I am glad that I purchased this Pen. It writes fantastic, and is a nice basic digital pen. I only took a star off because it’s super easy to lose it (I wish it had maybe some kind of magnet or something and because there’s not a lot of information on how to use and customize it so it took a bit of time to figure that out. I also think if you’re using it for a lot more than just notes, you should probably go with one of the ones with more buttons and customization options.

It does what it should do. Nothing fancy about it making it simple to use. For general pen purposes I would recommend it. I am sure it does a lot more than I know, or need it for. I would give it another star if it included a rechargeable battery instead of the 4A (AAAA) NiCad throw away.

Bought this pen since one of the Lenovo sales agents said this is the only pen that is compatible with my IdeaPad Flex 5 15ITL05 model. I can use it on the screen but the pen always says not paired in the Lenovo Pen settings app. Palm rejection doesn't work but I guess this pen doesnt support that?

Good size, has good pressure sensitivity and palm rejection, and has a sleek and modern design. Took a star off because it can get hard to hold after long periods of writing since the stylus is so smooth and has a larger diameter, and also because the battery continuously drains once you put it into the stylus. There’s no way to put it to sleep.

Sad disappointment
When first installed and used for the first time, it worked wonderfully. When trying to use it later on it seems the pairing and settings would be lost. As time past it became more difficult to restore or reset until I reached a point when the laptop (Lenovo) and pen (Lenovo) no longer communicated. I had to throw the pen away; it had been too long to return it for a refund.

Works but requires batteries
I bought it primarily to draw, since I wished to start drawing directly onto the screen and I already had a touchscreen laptop (I have an 81XH). It feels firm in my hands since it's made of metal, feels very nice compared to other plastic pens. There's a slight delay when using certain drawing programs and Windows doesn't seem to respond well to some inputs. It didn't come with a manual, just a folded sheet about the warranty. It requires a driver for a different pen in order to work and the sensibility slider is lackluster, with either feeling too sensible or not at all. I'm scared of pressing the pen any further, as the hard nib feels like it might scratch my screen.
One thing that has really irked me is WHY IS THERE NO MENTION OF BATTERIES? Neither on the main page nor on the tech page is there even a WORD and I searched! It gave the impression that it was battery-free, which it isn't. At least it comes with a free battery but come on, just put it in the page!
Also, why would "ad blockers" prevent me from submitting a review?

Great entry level digital pen
Good entry-level digital pen, but the driver needs more customizing options, like there was no double-click option to assign to the barrel buttons. Lenovo needs to have better setup documentation. None was provided with the pen. It'd also be great if Lenovo made a remote pen driver like the Virtual Tablet app, so I can use my pen and laptop as a digital tablet for a desktop. This would be popular because a lot of people have more powerful studio desktop PC's they'd like to use with the tablet pen and it would eliminate needing a separate graphic tablet, like from Wacom. I've been a graphic artist using mid to entry level Wacom tablets for decades, but I found that drawing directly on the screen surface with this pen felt much more natural than drawing on a tablet surface while looking at a separate screen. The pen felt and performed much like an entry-level Wacom tablet, though this pen is half the cost. I tried the Virtual Tablet app with this pen and my Lenovo Flex 15 laptop with my studio desktop and I found there was a little lag to get used to because of the network communication between the two computers. Virtual Tablet also needed better customization as well. It couldn't recognize different barrel buttons or customize much, so if Lenovo made better remote drivers it would be a more valuable package.

Broke after 1 month of having it..
I bought the Ideapad Flex 5 14 about a month ago and was delighted to find that it included the digital pen. I use it often for note taking as a university student. However, after only one month of passive use, the nib snapped while I was using it. Half of the nib is still inside the pen. I am very disappointed by the poor build quality of this product, as well as the fact that you cannot purchase replacement nibs for the digital pen, only the active pen. I have contacted Lenovo to see if I can get a replacement pen under my base warranty, I have not abused or misused this product and am not happy with this first-time experience with Lenovo's products.

I purchased this to accompany the Lenovo Duet Chromebook. The Lenovo website actually shows a digital pen in one of the website photos of that Chromebook (which includes drawing app). However, it seems the FAQs for the digital pen make it clear that it doesn't actually work with the Chromebook.

This pen has nice line control and with it's sensitivity, it feels very fluent and realistic. Finally, I'm able to do digital art without having to compensate for stylus shortsights. My aunt cannot use this stylus with her tablet. It was sent to her assisted living facility so I never saw it. I had the representative choose one guy it her but it has been determined by her helpers not to work with her tablet. I don’t know how to o go about returning it. Tablet good. I purchased the Yoga A940, which works excellently, and this pen was the one included, which I appreciate not having to buy it separately. The problem was that the first one kept disconnecting, and I was fortunately able to have it replaced promptly for free, but even the new one is struggling. I recommend saving your money for one of the better pens, like the Precision Pen or the Yoga Pen II, which is what I'll be trying next. I hope they can live up to the computer.

Easy to use, high quality, ease of use
Connected to my lenovo ideapad flex 5 14in immediately and writes smooth and has great customization ability with the lenovo pen settings app from the microsoft store. VERY IMPORTANT NOTE! IF YOU ARE TRYING TO USE THE BARREL BUTTONS , THE PEN NEEDS TO BE TOUCHING THE SCREEN WHEN YOU PRESS THE BUTTON (its the same for all bluetooth pens or you can enable the "Hover Click" option which allows you to hover above the screen to where you can see the crosshair tracking icon and have the barrel buttons work while hovering above the screen instead of touching it. The pen comes with no user guide or directions. Utilize YouTube if you need to but the pen automatically connects and is ready to use without any user input.

Pen Glitches
I have a Lenovo idea pad flex 14 and I bough this pen because it was cheap but when I use it to write notes the pen glitches and doesn’t work or sometimes it glitches and the pen stroke sacks out scribbling on my page. I have no idea if it’s the pen or my app but it also doesn’t work for digital art. The lines are not smooth at all and very pixelated. I tried everything including fixing the art programs stabilizer but it didn’t do anything. All in all it’s good but it creates problems here and there that get annoying at times.

Great Starter Pen for me
Got this pen to start off my digital art career with. love it, the two buttons kind of get in my way sometime but i just need to adjust to using this particular pen. I only removed a star because i wish the end of the pen did something like it was a button or was recognized as an eraser like other pens.

While I wish there was a way to turn it off when not using it or shortcuts to screen editing, this pen does everything as expected. If you don't want to wear down the tip, the pen can even be sensed without touching the screen, so you can scroll and click using the buttons without ever having to touch the screen or track pad. Set up was super easy as all I had to do was put the batteries in and have it near the laptop. No need to go through settings trying to pair it.

Good for everyday but carrying a high price
Build is well done if you buy this pen for half the MSRP. The additional Lenovo functions via their software are welcome. Some of the windows features do not work with this pen. If you are looking for a professional pen for drawing, etc. you will be better off with the Lenovo Pro edition or other brands. For regular everyday use this one is fine assuming you get the best possible Lenovo sale. There a few cons though, it seems like this one goes through its 4A battery relatively fast even if you are not using it. It seems like the sleep function if it has one is not well optimized for power savings. Also it is a big downer that they do not include a single tip replacement and have geared their business on consumables as many other companies do these days, especially the automotive ones. It is a shame that you have to spend $10 or more for 3 replacement tips which do not even come in different softness variations. On the other hand it is a great benefit that you do not have to deal with plastic or miniature pens as this one has a "aluminum" metal compound body and resembles the size/ felling of a regular pen you might have already used for the last 100 years. Best bet on the price $20 to $25, you got yourself a well made purchase.

Good pen, design improvement potential.
This is our first experience with this type of pen.
While I feel it has good responsiveness with our Laptop, I do feel it could be improved or suggest multiple formats to be created depending upon intended use. Which knows, maybe this is already in the works. We went with the item listed as compatible with our laptop.
We are using this pen for children's online school work. Some projects involve coloring and drawing, others writing. The buttons on the side often get pressed during both if these uses. For our purpose, a pen with a push top button or buttons much higher up would have been beneficial. I can see purposes for which their current location would be ideal as well. So multiple formats might be the route to take.
All in all, it was worth the cost. Good pen yet has improvement potential.

Unexpectedly satisfied
The pen itself is lightweight and works with my yoga c640. The only qualms I have with it are one, that it is round, so it rolls off tables easily, and two, that the naming is ambiguous. I was lead into believing that this is the lenovo active pen 2, which it is not, and unlike the active pen 2, does not have a button at the top of the pen that can be pushed, which reduces the usability of the pen. However, the pen works, and that's the bottom line.

A Great Purchase
I bought this pen when it was on sale and I am glad I did! I use it to draw on my Dell computer. It's definitely compatible with Dell Inspiron laptops if you have a touchscreen 10-point touch display. The pen is lightweight and fits comfortably in your hand.

The Lenovo digial pen is a quality introduction pen into performing quality art work for my Lenovo flex 5. I had it onmy previous flex 4 as well, an dit didn't steer me wrong then. The precision offered along with the extremely long battery life allows me to rehearse my art wherever without worry. You can also use the handy software to program functions on the two buttons, which has proven handy for some of my most used tools when drawing on medibang paint pro. I reccomend it to anybodywanting to get their feet wet with digital art,or just anybody santing to use a stylus for their compatible touch screen flex laptops :)

C 940 is AWESOME!
I love how responsive the C940 is. Great visual, tablet position is so cool.
