Too bad I need to remove it sometimes for some use of the iPad, because it's incredibly annoying to remove. And also too bad that one of the cases I ordered was the wrong one, because I was completely ignored when I attempted to return it. Basically, if you buy any of their products, don't expect to be able to return it or get a refund.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not a secure fit I am a huge fan of Otterbox’s Defender series and have been happy with previous versions for my iPhone’s and an old iPad Air. However, the design for the iPad Air 3 missed the mark. The screen cover on this model is loose and I often have to add more pressure than usual to select something or add my password. On top of that, the rubber (?) shell around it does not secure to the plastic shell and corners fall off regularly. One core is visibly loose from the shell. I have been dealing after only a few months of owning it so it is not after years of use. I am just at the limit of tolerance now.

The iPad computer was for some reason bowing and there was an 1/8th inch opening on the sides of the device. The computer was stationary most of the time so it is hard to know what caused that. Instead of tapping the sides together (tacky) the purchase of the Otterbox sealed the sides like it was brand new. GREAT PRODUCT.

About 20 minutes later I got a call from a sweet lady advising that an iPad with my name on it had been found on the road. I went over to pick it up and thank her, and the iPad appeared to have been run over numerous times! The iPad was still in tact and it appeared to still turn on. The glass screen was not even cracked! The Defender case absorbed the impact of flying off the trunk of my wife’s vehicle and being run over by numerous vehicles! The case was scuffed and damaged but the IPad was in perfect working condition! I couldn’t believe it! That day I went ahead and purchased a replacement defender case! Worth every penny!

I did not expect to receive a case that would require a Youtube video to figure out how to put my son's ipad in it. Really guys. that is the best you could design? This is the worse design I have seen in a protective case. without instructions, you have no clue what to press or pull in order to get this piece pulled apart. It was recommended by my son's school so I bought it. It took me nearly 15 minutes to know how to take it apart and then how to put it all back together. You couldn't have just made a hard shell case that would open like a book with a hinge and call it a day! Instead, you charged us $90 and delivered a case for a battle field without a single piece of instruction on how to protect the ipad. It really makes me wonder how you made it as a company. This is what is called excessive design where the original is lost and you have a product with multiple design flaws. I will never buy one for myself , will not recommend one to anyone, and will certainly let my son's school know that there are far better, cheaper and easier solutions out there and stop pushing otterbox.

The accompanying stand allows you to use the ipad in two different positions. The quality of the material is excellent. Well worth the price.

It's a maximum protection case that fits so tightly that I had to really hard work to get the iPad into the hard rubber shock case correctly. The only thing I was disappointed in was the time it took to ship it to me. I could have walked there and back to get it in the time it took for it to be shipped.

I’m like to do art and written journals so I use a matte screen protector like Paperlike for use with a Apple Pencil. A lot more control on a matte finish and does feel like writing on real paper. It would be nice you could choose which type of screen protector you want.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Difficult to Release Corners I like the protection but it's difficult to open. When trying to release the corners and remove the stand, all I get is a bunch of the silicone. Almost need a screwdriver to pry the corners up. Not designed as good as the one I had for my 1st Generation iPad. Also, the silicone seems very flimsy. Should fit more snugly.

Very durable, bought based on experience with same model for iphone which has hit the floor multiple times and survived. only drawback was I had to remove the face screen as ipad didn't always function through the otter screen. Ones removed, works perfectly. absolutely recommend.

I decided to go ahead with the purchase anyway, and I must say I am impressed. The thing is built strong and fits perfectly. I am more satisfied with this, than I am with the iPad it’s protecting. Good job guys. You’re to be commended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fits almost perfectly Purchased about 2 weeks ago. Screen cover is amazing with no issues with the film cover even on the ID touch features. Silicone wrap feels aesthetically pleasing. Only issue I have is the plastic 3rd layer...it doesn’t always seem to snap in place and I feel I have to kind of force it but when I do, it feels pretty secure. Also, the charging port might be getting damaged due to the thick silicone cover pushing down at an angle on the lightning cable...only time will tell, I suppose.

Often dirty and wet work, so far the Ipad is unharmed. just need to wipe it well and take it out of casing to clean it now and then. only downside is that it is a bit tricky to open. love it!

The last damage I have to an iPod, iPad, or phone was before I purchased my first Otterbox. The only negative thing I could say about them is that it would sometimes be helpful to have 3 hands when opening the case every 6-12 months to clean the dust that gets in through the openings.

When it arrived it was difficult to take apart and difficult to put back together again. The plastic case cover was also flimsy. Returned it. Found what I needed in OtterBox's own website. Arrived quick. Easy to pull apart and assemble. I feel safe. Thank you OtterBox!

The only issue I had with my purchase was FedEx and the time it took to get to me. I know it was the holidays but looking at the travel history it would have been faster to use the Postal Service.

Unfortunately, the new Otter box I bought for my new iPad Pro doesn’t really work in that to use the new keyboard that I purchased for the iPad requires the back of the iPad to be open to connect to the keyboard. With the Otter box on, the connection cannot be made. Your choice is an Otter box or an extended keyboard.

My Ipad and Iphone was thrown into the trunk due to the impact of the wreck and both were fine. I only upgraded to give my grandson the Ipad it still works like a charm. Any Otter Box purchase is so worth the money!! Not to mention you can not beat the Otter Box customer service bar none

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mixed feelings I’ve owned this new protector for about a month. My first concern is the hard snap on cover doesn’t fit nearly as well as the one for my original IPad Air. It seems to never be securely snapped on in the “USE” configuration, in the “PROTECT” configuration it is very secure. So it does protect very well. Also the IPAd cannot be charged unless the hardcover is in the “PROTECT” configuration due to the port being covered and sealed with the cover Snapped on the backside.

Only complaint is with shipping. We bought from Otterbox website and their warehouse got it out within a day but they used Fedex Smart Post (on the the last two purchases. Fedex took forever, over 7 days.

I drop things due to a health issue and so far so good. The only thing I was disappointed with it is harder to plug in the charger and turn the power button on and off. I have tried some of the other brands and have not been happy. I love this cover. I have 2 grand daughters who love to use my iPad and now I don't worry about them dropping it. It has a cover on the front that can be taken off and and used as a stand in 3 different positions. I would recommend this to everyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Piece of Mind I bought this case about 6 weeks ago. The tough quality is what I've come to expect from Otter Box. I work in construction and use my iPad often for work. I have a tendency to smash screens if they aren't protected so this case is perfect. The only thing that bugs me about the design and I'm not sure how they'd change it is I wish there was a place on the iPad case to hold the apple pencil other than the cradle. Years ago I had a PalmPilot that had a pen storage built in. It was great. This is a fantastic case. Worth the money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from For active people! A super tough case. Design, fit and finish are superb. I have always purchased Otter boxes, the Defender case, for all my Apple products and have it never has never let me down. This ipad commutes with me by bike to work in my panniers and I need protection from vibration and the jostling of going from street to office and I have confidence that this will keep my new iPad in perfect condition like my phones and previous ipad. I mountain bike with a phone in a defender case for years now and the phones have never been damaged. The cutouts for speakers, cameras and sensors are perfect. One minor issue would be the screen protector; it will eventually scratch up and make viewing a bit murky. But this is from constant use. When this has happened before I'll remove it (and the adhesive) and use a third party screen protector. I use the Apple pencil for my job creating illustrations and the surface feel is fine, a little drag but it makes it feel more like a paper surface than the glass. I like it. One last comment is that the case is heavy but well worth the protection.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Past Were Better I have the OB Defender for my iPhone 6s and my iPad mini. I am not a fan of how the screen protector moves as it's not 100% against the device screen, so I typically remove it. On this new one, a difference seems to be the rubber on the back doesn't seem to fit the plastic shell perfectly. There's a little movement if you press down on the back as thought there's a gap between the plastic and the rubber. Mine is off just a bit above the opening for the apple logo. I would recommend this for protection, but fitment seems to be a bit off.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from As usual, heavy duty protection for an expensive I This is my fourth or fifth OtterBox defender purchased to protect and expensive piece of technology. I have never been disappointed nor have any of my devices been damaged. The only downside to this version is that there is no place to put the Apple Pencil. There are some aftermarket items that will allow me to keep the pencil with the device. I also have OtterBox on my phone and know that I've never suffered any damage to any of those phones as well.

The accompanying stand allows you to use the ipad in two different positions. The quality of the material is excellent. Well worth the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Kickstand cover doesn't fit correctly. Once I installed the new cover about two days later I noticed two pieces of debris already behind the display cover. Not commen considering I have 27 iPad's for my staff and have installed approximately 40 plus Otterbox defender cases. It's never happen before. Even considering I have the same amount of defender cases on cell phones as well. The other issue is that the kickstand cover does not snap on the back of my new iPad pro 10.5 iPad and when you want to place the iPad on the kickstand for viewing at the most vertical position it doesn't hold in there sturdy enough. Never had this issue before. I called customer service and with no hesitation they are sending me a new one. The only problem is that is it's been over a week and I still haven't received my new one. I am a Hugh Otterbox box fan and customer and would prefer to keep it that way. If I can help in any way to improve the product please let me know. We have approximately 1000 iPad's and 2000 cell phones in my company and many managers stay away from Otterbox defender cases. But what would you expect, I appreciate the added protection and sturdiness of the case. I like the fact that I turn the plastic part into a stand. It also helps when my cat uses it as a mat. I love my new case!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! This case is very well made and I am confident of its ability to protect my new Ipad! The parts align precisely and the opening/closing of the outer unit is smooth. It is bulky, but protection comes at a price. My only criticism would be the stand rattles a little bit when carrying the unit around, but this is really a minor issue. I was reluctant to spend the money this unit cost, but it is well worth it. I am willing to spend a little extra to get quality when it is warranted, and the protection of my high priced Ipad was not something I was going to go cheap on. I am so happy I did! I have only had this case a short time, but I am confident it will last as long as I have my tablet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than expected I confess: I have a bad history with phones and iPads. Most recently, a hotel maid accidentally threw my iPad to the ground, shattering its screen. When I invested in my new iPad Pro I researched the market for the best option out there. As a tech consultant for the last thirty years, people are usually asking, not telling me what to do. Otterbox has been the acknowledged leader in protection for years, but I have always been concerned about the weight and form factor. So I was expecting to be slightly disappointed. But it did not happen. The case was easily installed - no problem with fit for my 10.5 inch Pro. The cover is a little tight snapping on, but that has reassured me that it will not fall off. The cover also stores my pencil le which is a great feature. In addition, the cover's ability to serve as a multiple position stand and to clip on the back of the iPad when it is in us makes it less likely for me to lose it. So - the weight. It does change the feel of the iPad. But I like it better! It now has substance. I have to hold it firmly and I am convinced it may even make me less likely to drop it. It has already fallen a few times with NO damage and although I now use it so much, I will likely never leave it where a maid could accidentally knock it off a table, I sure that if she did it would survive the fall!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Highly Durable! I bought the Defender case for my iPad because I’m always throwing it around and need some solid protection for it. The lid has a storage spot for the Apple Pencil and holds everything well. The only cons: the rubber flap for the lightning connector is quite firm and difficult to push far enough out of the way to accommodate the cable or Pencil. Unfortunately this creates significant physical strain on the port and whatever else might be attached, and I’m concerned that this will have a long term impact. Personally, I dislike the built in screen protector. It does not feel natural with the Apple Pencil, and the Touch ID covering makes unlocking a challenge. In fact, I used a scalpel and a bit of rubbing alcohol to remove the OtterBox screen protector from the reverse side of the front plate and used a ballistic glass screen protector (from Tech Armor) on the device instead. The combination of the two is far superior in my opinion, and forms a robust seal and better experience.

Really feels like it will be able to withstand the daily use in my woodworking shop, and my two kids. Only thing I would change is how the cover comes on and off. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very protective case I have had this case on my old ipad 2 and wad very impressed, even though the case became tired the ipad was like new after 5-6 years solid use, so naturally I bought another case for my new ipad and have once again been more impressed. It does away with having a peel on screen protector as it's already built in, the case is stronger than the ipad 2 version as less brittle and its lighter. All cameras and button work very well with thr case. Only negative bit is can be fiddly to remove charger and head phones. Unless you are one of those that pulls the wires.

First, I usually don't take the time to write many reviews unless I'm so pleased with an item I want others to know, or in this case, I feel that everyone needs to be wary of an item. I LOVE Otterbox! Every iPad and iPhone I've ever owned has been protected from my clumsy hands and I will swear by protection they've offered my investments. Many of times I've watch my ? products not just fall, but soar through the air landing on concrete surfaces, and thinking that this time for certain it's going to be broken! Never!! If Otterbox made a car, I'd be driving it. BUT... i Truely believe that somebody rushed the production of the new iPad Pro 10.5 Cases, or maybe they received the wrong dimensions for the iPad? From the moment I put this case on my new iPad Pro 10.5", I immediately noticed that it did not have the same secure and snug fit that every Otterbox Case has had on my other products. Can I point to a particular part and say "here's where it's off"? No, The plastic cover that snaps onto the iPad is not secure and can come apart way to easy. Next the flexible casing that surrounds the casing is so loose that it doesn't "Lock" into place on the Plastic Cover. If you hold the iPad by the edge, this covering will separate from the plastic. Next, the hard plastic cover which doubles as a stand. It has always locked into place when you snap it onto the front or the back of the iPad. Not this time, and it looks like the Apple Pencil Holder is the culprit. Because it protrudes too far, it won't allow the corners of the cover on one side to securely fit into place. This in itself has already caused me to drop my new iPad, thankfully from a short height and onto a soft surface, but I refuse to put the cover onto the back of this case because I cannot trust it to hold into place. Now before someone at Customer Service contacts me, I want you to know that yes, I want to replace this case with one that properly "Fits", and I'm hoping that maybe this particular case was just an anomaly, or maybe an early design that was never meant to ship? But if the replacement case fits the same way, Otterbox will have lost my business and probably it's best "walking billboard" as many people are stunned that my iPads and iPhones have not been damaged when I do loose control of them. This was the first time that I'd had to order my case directly from Otterbox as the new iPad Pro 10.5" devices had just come out and there wasn't a case to be found in the stores yet. And as much as I dislike The Black Colored cases, I need to make certain my investment was taken care of and decided that waiting another couple months for a multi-colored case was not an option, but for the last 2 weeks, I'm afraid to use my new iPad because I know that it will not survive one drop in this case. Oh, before I forget, the flap in the lightening connector area is "Way" too firm. It literally bent my lightening connector when I had it plugged in. Also, the On/Off switch is very, very difficult to work because of the Improper fit of the case.

I feel the same about OtterBox. Every portable Apple product I have owned has been protected by an OtterBox Defender Case. Starting with my iPhone 4s, iPad Air 2, to my current products iPhone 7 Plus, iPad Pro 10.5". Yes they are a little bulky, they cover up the device, but if you need protection, OtterBox is the only way to go. Also their Customer Service and Warranty. It is the BEST ! They go above and beyond. Because of my work I tend to either be on a ladder or on a catwalk in a theatre. My brand new iPhone 4s popped out of its holster when I was on top of a 20 foot ladder. iPhone fell to the stage, bounced 2 times, finally landing face down on the stage. I feared the worst when I picked up my iPhone ! I examined my iPhone and it appeared to be ok. No Cracked Screen ! When I got home I removed the OtterBox Defender Case, there was no damage whatsoever to the iPhone 4s ! Just a small dent on the plastic outer hard shell of the case ! The OtterBox had Done Its Job ! My iPhone 4s has been retired, but was dropped several times from a 20 - 24 foot ladder and protected. My iPad Air 2 was dropped repeatedly on the floor, fell off the bed, off my desk, dropped at work, and again protected. Looking forward to several years of satisfaction with my NEW Protected Apple Products !

The Apple Pencil did not work well with the plastic screen protector so I removed it and added an IQ Shield glass screen protector. This screen protector works with the Apple Pencil and the case fits around it nicely. However the case is very pricey.

The Defender for the iPad Pro 10.5 offers all around protection and easy installation. I have access to all of the ports and no blocking to the stereo speakers. The smart connector is covered and the case would need to be removed for use. The customer service at Otterbox is exceptional!

This is my fourth defender case, two for iPads & two for iPhones. I love the protection it gives, & I'm happy to say that it works great with the I-Pencil. I also love the holder inside the cover for the I-Pencil. The stand lift up piece for my old iPad otter box case had broken about 2-years after I bought it. My only concern with the new defender case, is that the lift up stand is not as thick on the new iPad Pro otterbox case. I guess I'll have to be more careful with it.

This feels less bulky than the smaller devices but it could just be a scale difference. Only complaint is that typing on screen has become maddeningly frustrating. I can't seem to use the keyboard with my thumbs in landscape mode. I have to lay iPad down and type as on a keyboard. Not sure if it's the angle of my thumbs or what. I can reach over using my left hand to strike a K or L when my right thumb can activate after several tries. I do have a screen protector installed underneath the Otterbox, but that's the same on all my devices. Not sure yet if I will keep using this or not.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good, but with some issues. I purchased my new IPad Pro 10.5" on release day, then waited patiently for this case to be released almost TWO WEEKS LATER, fail. My new iPad sat in the box for two weeks before I could safely use it. On to the actual case: This is my 5th Otterbox case on an IPad or Phone, I am a big fan of the protection. The case fits my device very well, but this is not Otter's best effort due to these issues: As usual, the screen protector is junk, I removed it and run a tempered glass protector instead, fits great. The snap on cover is very thick (likely only to allow for Apple Pencil storage, that I will never use and because there is open space it allows the stand on the inside to rattle as I move the pad or sometimes type. Fixed with some foam tape strips. The charging port cover is a poor design compared to my IPad Air case, likely due to the fingerprint home button needing to be exposed. The port cover has to be bent beyond 90 degrees towards the front the charge or plug in accessories. This will tear the rubber eventually, if it starts tearing I will slice it off with an xacto knife before it ruins the case. You can't open the port cover with the snap on cover in place on the back of the case. When the cover is snapped on the back it partially covers the volume up button, an adult's fingers have a hard time pressing it. That being said, I would buy this case again tomorrow. I really like the little bit of recessed area on the bezels when in landscape, they add some grip. I generally run my iPad for 2-3 generations, so I hope the snap on cover and lightning port cover are up to the task.

Serious mistake, my iPad Air 2 slide off my motorcycle seat like butter and the screen is smashed. Guess how much is a new screen for iPad Air 2 ahem $250. Got a new iPad Pro and did not open it until my defender case arrived and it was nicely nestled in the defender case. If you like to keep money in your pocket and not give it to Apple. When I bought this Ipad and the retailer didn't have any for my size Ipad. Just the other size Ipad (I can't figure that one out) But anyway no complaints. The case is excellent and the cover piece that substitutes as a stand is an excellent idea. It's cool.

I bought iPad 10.5 for my kids, and within the first 15 seconds in this case, the kids are dropped it. It was only about a 1 foot drop, onto a very cushy carpeted surface, so of course there was no damage, but just the fact that the case is so slippery, I could not keep it. I always thought that OtterBox defender cases were grippy. I use them on my phone all the time, but this particular case didn’t feel the same as the ones I am used to. It actually did not feel like a true OtterBox case but like a knock off. Which is strange, because I bought it directly from OtterBox.com.

It protects and the outer shell holder serves its purpose also. I can watch movies and everything while being protected and having a sturdy holder. I would definitely recommend this case. My only gripe is that at the time or ordering my case the only color in stock was black on black.

Unlike many of the cases I looked at in the stores, it feels substantial and fits securely around the ipad pro. In fact, you have to separate the various parts of the case before you insert the ipad itself, meaning there are multi-layers of protection. I like the cover/stand and its ability to hold the ipad in various positions. This case and ipad will be traveling with a teenager in his bookbag on the train everyday, so I needed something substantial for protection. This should fit the bill and I can't imagine there is another product out there that will have this level of protection. Only downside, the price. No case should cost $90. But I paid it and I know many others will as well, so Otterbox is just charging what they know they can get. But really, a case, $90?! That's crazy.

The case/stand is very handy with the pencil holder and various position holders. I rated as 3 because they did a good job giving seals for the ports yet the speakers, mic and camera are left with no cover or seals. I have to work out how to keep them safe from the job site dust and occasional splash. I understand that a cover of those areas would inhibit their use, but I bought the case to protect the iPad not so it sounds great in the lounge and to take great pictures to publish in a magazine. An understandable trade off. They added a see through cover for the screen and apple logo so they could have done it.

The phone staff was personable and knowledgeable, and my order came within days. Now about the case: First let me say that I have multiple Apple products and have always used Otter Box products for protection. Accidents happen too frequently to not have superior cases. (In fact, I just knocked my iPad off the bathroom sink two days ago, and it still works fine. Secondly, the design: if you have bought the defender series for an iPad, it's pretty much the same. The plastic easel works great if you are typing a long letter or watching a movie. The actual case is easy to put on, and is very light if the easel is left off. But... there are a few problems with the design. If you use the easel, like I do as extra protection, the corner "bumpers" or flanges interfere with the volume control buttons, specifically the increase button. If the hard plastic case is attached to the iPad it is almost impossible to flick open the cover that protects the power insert. ( You have to remove the easel to plug in your power cord and then push the case back into the hard plastic easel. On a side note, I have to wonder what the two circle openings at the front of the case on either side of the opening for the camera are all about. All in all, the defender is a quality case worth the money to protect a major in investment like an iPad Pro.

They held up great there now 6,8, and 10. So I bought them new IPad Pro’s. The case is a little bit thinner then the other IPad defense outterbox cases so will see how they hold up only bought 1 black one for grandson. Waiting now going on 4 weeks for the other color for my grand daughters forgot the color name but the purple color. Only had to replace my grandsons case in the last four years at Christmas time his was starting to get tears in the vinyl but great cases if you want to protect them would recommend them to anyone especially if your buying a IPad for children

However, the tab that gives access to the lightning cable is difficult to open and keep open to allow the cable plug to be inserted. So with the case makes it feel good in my hands and not as scared about dropping it. The face shield/stand is also very nice and comes with an Apple Pencil holder which in my opinion is one of the top features of the case. However there is one con when putting the case on the first time. Trying to keep both the iPad screen and the otter box screen clean is a bit of a pain. Not going to knock off a star for this because every case/screen protector is this way. Overall great purchase, definitely worth the money!

The new iPad Pro 10.5" is a great product, but is extremely lightweight and thin. Until the Otterbox Defender cases were available, I was concerned about dropping it and breaking it on our hard floors. I have used Otterbox cases on both of my iPads and iPhones. The case itself is tough but not cumbersome and the added shell is a bonus. The rubber stoppers on the bottom of the shell allows me to set it up on about any surface and not have to worry about pushing the ipad away when i go to touch it. If you've got a device and need a case, you can't do better than Otterbox.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Robust Case With great Fit and Finish I use my 10.5" IPad Pro primarily as a GPS mapping device in my work as an off-road adventure guide. It is hot, dusty, muddy, and bumpy. This case certainly fits the bill, protecting this very important piece of equipment. I am very happy with my Otter Defender case. It was easy to mount the IPad Pro into the case, and although a little bulkier with the case on, it is still not overly so. The responsiveness of the screen seems unaffected by having the case in place. I use an IPad Pencil as a stylus and it works great as well. This version of the IPad Pro does not have an audio plug-in so the only plug is for the lightening jack. The rubber flap that covers this opening is substantial and stays in place.

It wasn't readily available at the time of my device purchase, however, I patiently awaited it's release. I only use otterbox for all my devices. Each case is crafted to allow the tablet user to experience their iPad as you would outside of a case. There are no sacrifices because you have a case on your iPad. The key is the cases are over the top in the protection area. I traded my old iPad in after I purchased this new model. The kick stand cover has two angles but they are good: one for typing and the other for watching videos etc. Cons: a bit on the heavy side and together with the plastic kick stand cover makes it close to the bulk of my ultra portable Dell XPS 13. I even carry it without the stand and it's very convenient too.

I have used the defender series on previous units and was dismayed to see that it was not available at the release of the 10.5" iPad. OtterBox did a speedy job of getting them into production and I had my unit just a bit over two weeks after my new ipad arrived. Although the protection adds a little thickness and bulk to the unit I find it to be easier to hold and handle that the naked unit. The two alternate stand options, video viewing and the slightly elevated computer use form to be great. My most important feature is the protection it affords. I use this unit in every possible situation and I am NEVER concerned that it might be damaged. My new iPhone seven (someday soon) will be the next recipient of the OtterBox functional protection. Great product, great company!

I use iPad to video pole vaulters at practice and meets as well as for personal access to email, etc. The device is outdoors regularly and in the hands of "not so careful" athletes who like to see themselves vaulting. I protect the device itself against regular drops, rough treatment and weather, with Otterbox Defender. It's a solid case and have never had issues or damage with it. FYI: the touch screen and home button work great with the Defender installed. Whenever I have had case problems, Otterbox has come to the rescue. Highly recommend.

Provides great protection for the iPad and the two positions means he doesn't have to hold it all the time which is really important for him. Only reason I deducted a point is that it is slightly heavier than normal cases and I thought it said there are four positions with the stand but I can only figure out 2

It was such a hassle I took the rubber protection of. I should have return the unit. But throw all the wrappings. All my other otter case was a 5Star execpt this one for my iPad Pro.

It not only provides solid protection for iPad but also allows for easy use of the iPad controls including the touch screen. The previous iPad and Otterbox lasted four years with no problems. I got the most money for my iPad at Apple trade in because the Otterbox protected my iPad and it looked brand new! My iPad spends a lot of time outdoors in the Oregon rain and Otterbox definitely provides the protection it has to have. For me, the $90 was well worth the price.

I was worried that I might have issues with the built in screen protector being somewhat loose in front of the screen as some other models do, but this is tight against the screen, in fact I can't even tell it's there. I live in a pretty dusty environment, so while it took me about 1 hour to get the case perfectly clean when I first installed it on my iPad, I haven't gotten any dust particles behind the screen, which tells me that this case seals pretty good. The case itself fits absolutely perfect, and does exactly what they say it does; the only thing I don't like has to do with the hard plastic stand which doubles as a portfolio cover to protect your screen. When installed over the screen, you can hear the stand inside rattling against the screen; however I don't believe this will cause any damage to the screen, more than anything its just loud..

It’s always more comforting when the case has a built in screen protector. The stand is even better now that you can position the iPad vertically as well as horizontal. The black looks great with the pink iPad. The white sticks out in the front and pink in the back. Great job on this one Otterbox.

And thanks to the second part of the case, I can orient the iPad and make it hold without problem, on the other hand I would like that there is a more favorable space for Apple pencil, Location already present suits very well too.

He even slips his Apple Pencil in the cover and it stores it perfectly, even the Apple team members in the store were impressed. I can't wait for Otterbox to come out with the symmetry starry night for the 10.5 for my own, I loved the 9.7. It was perfect! The only thing this case doesn't do is offer access to the Smart Keyboard ports on the side. We are Otterbox believers, best product out there! My husband drove over his phone with his F150 and it only cracked the screen.
