This versatile 4K adapter adds multiple ports to the USB-C or Thunderbolt 3 port on your MacBook Pro or Windows laptop. The U444-06N-H4GUC2 allows you to transmit digital audio and 4K video to a large display, add a thumb drive or other USB peripheral, power and charge a PD Charging-compliant mobile device, and connect to a wired Gigabit Ethernet network simultaneously.

By connecting the built-in USB-C cable to a source device that supports USB DisplayPort Alt Mode, you can output 4K video and digital audio to an HDMI monitor, television or projector without installing special software drivers.

The U444-06N-H4GUC2 supports Ultra HD video resolutions up to 3840 x 2160 (4K x 2K) at 60 Hz, when connected to a DisplayPort 1.4 source device, and 3840 x 2160 at 30 Hz when connected to a DisplayPort 1.2 source. It carries HDR video signals, providing a wide range of vibrant colors with richer contrast, brighter whites and deeper blacks that pop on your 4K display. HDCP 2.2 compliance allows you to stream 4K Amazon and Netflix content with no complications. This adapter also supports 4:4:4 chroma subsampling for top-level PC gaming or using your HDTV as a PC monitor.

The USB-A port accepts USB peripherals, such as a flash drive, mouse or keyboard, and provides up to 5V 1.5A (7.5W) for charging and powering mobile devices. It transfers data at speeds up to 5 Gbps, which is 10 times faster than USB 2.0. The port is backward compatible with previous USB generations, so you can continue using older peripherals while getting high-speed performance from new devices. Note: Host must support USB OTG (On-the-Go)

The USB-C Power Delivery port provides power output up to 20V 5A (100W), which is more than sufficient for charging and powering the connected source device, such as a MacBook or Chromebook. Connect the port to the device's AC wall charger. Like the USB-A port, the USB-C port also supports data transfer speeds up to 5 Gbps. Note: USB-C PD port does not support Quick Charge (QC).

The RJ45 port offers access to a Gigabit Ethernet network when Wi-Fi is unavailable or when a wired connection offers faster speeds. Connect using a UTP cable (such as Tripp Lite's N201-Series Cat6 cables, sold separately), and enjoy true 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet speeds for fast data transfers.

Unlike traditional USB cables that connect in only one direction, the reversible USB-C male connector plugs into a USB-C or Thunderbolt 3 port in either direction for an instant connection every time.

The plug-and-play adapter is specifically designed for the MacBook, Google Chromebook Pixel and other laptops, tablets and devices equipped with a USB-C or Thunderbolt 3 port. It requires no software or external power. This adapter is backward compatible with 1080p displays, allowing you to use it with older equipment.
